Saline Varsity Blues is a non-profit children’s performing show choir organization that provides support and opportunities in vocal music and dance for area students and has been a part of the local community for the past 40 years! Our cast members entertain crowds with major productions in July, highlighting our Varsity Cast (grades 9-12) and their tour show, and a winter show in December. These Varsity Cast national tours have taken our groups so many places, including Branson, Nashville, Disney World, Chicago, New York City, Stars At Sea Cruise to the Caribbean, and Disneyland. This year's tour show cast will perform in New York City and take a workshop on Broadway.
After tour in June, the Varsity Cast will return to Saline and rehearse with our younger casts (Kids’ Cast, grades 1-4 & Junior Varsity Cast, grades 5-8), in preparation for our upcoming summer show. Saline Varsity Blues involves approximately 100 area youth in this enrichment of the performing arts.
The theme for Summer Show 2023 is "We Didn’t Start the Fire". Our Varsity Cast is already busy preparing their tour show, “Hairspray”. Soon, we will hold spring auditions for our younger cast members, and they too will begin their own preparations for our fantastic summer show!
