SHOW RULES & REGULATIONS
OFFICIAL ADGA SHOW: Their rules shall govern.
The Junior and Senior Shows are separately sanctioned.
The show order is subject to change to make the show run smoothly.
BASE DATE:
The base date for show will be August 10, 2023.
SHOW TIMES:
The first half of the Open Class Show will begin at 9:00 AM Thursday, August 10, 2023, consisting of the following breeds, shown in this order: Recorded Grade, Nubian, AOP.
The second half of the Open Class Show will begin at 9:00 AM, Friday, August 11, 2023, consisting of the following breeds, shown in this order: Nigerian Dwarf, Alpine, La Mancha.
Junior Does will show first followed by Senior does within each breed. Example: Junior Recorded Grades followed by Senior Recorded Grades, Junior Nubians followed by Senior Nubians, Junior AOP followed by Senior AOP, etc.
All entries must be shown in the Clark County Fair unless excused by the Barn Superintendent prior to class.

All Entries must be entered and shown in the Clark County Fair open class to participate in Clark County Goat Association’s Ring #2.
Clark County Fair open class entries must be in the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds Office by July 14, 2023. CLICK HERE for Clark County fair livestock entry form.
CHECK-IN:
Entries must have registration or recordation papers checked by the Show Secretary by 6pm on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
The original registration certificate or stamped duplicate issued March 1, 2021 – present ARE ALLOWED to be used in accordance with ADGA Board passed policy for 2023.
Goats must stay on Clark County Fairgrounds for the entire duration of the fair from Wednesday, August 9 - Sunday the 13.

ENTRY FEES:
CCGA Ring #2 entries fees are $5 per animal. CCGA Ring #2 entries will close Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 6pm. Payments accepted for entries are Check, Cash, and Credit Card.

ALL CHECKS MUST be postmarked by Tuesday, August 1, 2023 and RECEIVED by Friday, August 4, 2023.

No entry will be considered complete unless accompanied by the appropriate entry fees. NSF or returned checks will be charged an additional $30.00 and showing privileges will be suspended until fees are current.
No premiums paid, only ribbons.
Entry fees are non-refundable or transferable under any circumstance.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
Substitutions are allowed within the same breed only. No refunds or credits will be issued.
PRE-SHOW MILK-OUT:
No pre-show milk out will be held. However, all exhibitors are reminded that judges will discriminate against over–uddered does in the show ring.
MILK DISPOSAL:
Milking and clipping will be done in designated areas or tack. No dumping of milk in dry wells is permitted.
TATTOOS:
In accordance with ADGA rules, animals must be tattooed before they are registered. No tattooing at the show! Please check your animal’s tattoos before you enter the fair.
RECORDED GRADES:
Dairy goats, whose papers read experimental, native on appearance must show in recorded grade class.
HORNS:
All animals entered must be either naturally polled, dehorned, or disbudded. Large scurs will be discriminated against.
HEALTH CHECK:
Exhibitors must read the Clark County Fair General Rules document that also contains the General Animal Health Requirements, available on the Clark County Fair’s website.

EXHIBITOR:
Exhibitors are expected to present a neat appearance in the show ring. Acceptable attire is as dictated by ADGA; white or black pants are okay. Any exhibitor behaving in an ill-mannered way toward their animals, other exhibitors, the judges or the show committee will be asked to leave by the show committee. Entry fees will not be refunded. We expect the Rules governing this show to be read and complied with.
BEST IN SHOW:
We are having Best In Show. Please be prepared to stay to the end of the show if you won Grand Champion in your breed! Your goat will lose their leg if they leave before Best In Show.
