About the Country Music Highway Tribute Show
US 23 is not only home to the Country Music Highway, but it is the established bloodline of the industry’s past, present, and future. Icons such as Billy Ray Cyrus, Ricky Skaggs, Patty Loveless, Dwight Yoakum, Wynonna Judd, and the late Naomi Judd, Keith Whitley, and Loretta Lynn blazed — and continue to blaze — the trail for current stars of Country Music. That includes multi-Grammy winner Chris Stapleton, Tyler Childers, and many others.
The Country Music Highway Tribute Show is about paying homage to the stars of the Country Music Highway. Just as important, it is about performing original content and creating a stage for you to shine and further elevate the Highway as one of Eastern Kentucky's greatest assets.
The shows are presented by SOAR and the following organizations:
- Appalachian Wireless Arena
- Boyd County Tourism and Convention Bureau
- CMH23
- Lawrence County Tourism
- Letcher County Tourism
- Mountain Arts Center
- Paintsville Tourism
- Paramount Arts Center
- Pike County Tourism
- Pikeville Tourism
- Prestonsburg Tourism
- Visit AKY
All proceeds from the shows will go towards supporting performing arts across Eastern Kentucky and the sustainability of this project moving forward. Because of that, we won't be able to pay for what you may earn doing a typical performance. However, you'll be contributing to a greater cause — ensuring that future generations have a chance to perform and become the next star along the Highway.
