“The Keeper” is a multidisciplinary ensemble play, inspired by the life & work of Ferdowsi, the play takes us through the world of myths, legends, love stories, battles, political turmoil and tragedy as we explore stories capacity to preserve our hopes and protect them in a hostile world.
The show has large ensemble cast playing multiple roles, from kings to hero, blacksmiths, archers to mothers and fathers.
The production is a profit share. Rehearsals for the show will start Early July and run through to the show’s opening in October, the show dates are October 23rd to 29th.
For those who cannot make it to the audition in person, we also accept self-tapes, you can’t send your self tape to therisetheatre@gmail.com.
For the audition, we recommend you can use any dramatic monologue that you are comfortable with but we have a recommend selection to choose from on this drive: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1hH-YARMWSDn05KrbBcHM8REpgWkp9zeh?usp=sharing
We also ask you to come prepared to tell us a story, it could be simple or complex, personal or not, comedic or dramatic, real or fictional. It could even be a simple children’s story, all we ask is that you keep it to 3 minutes max.

Please also give us a basic approximate of your weekly availabilities during the rehearsal period, you can fill the Weekly schedule form on the drive and email it to us or bring a copy with you to the audition.
