  • Chapel Announcement Request

    Spring 2026
  • IMPORTANT: As you fill out this form, keep the following in mind:

    • Video announcements should reinforce advertising you are doing elsewhere on campus and/or social media, not be your only marketing strategy.

    • 14-day notice – requests must be submitted 14 days prior to the chapel date you are requesting. 

    • 15-20 second scripts – keep scripts to pertinent information. We need to keep our total runtime to 3-4 minutes per the president's office.

    • QR codes – avoid QR codes as they are not as effective as a memorable URL, email address, or office location.

    • Keep us in the loop! - If you have to cancel or change the date of an event, please let us know ASAP so we can make adjustments.

    • Suggested talent may or may not always be used depending on their availability, as well as their past performances on-camera.

    • Any pre-produced videos must be submitted at least 14 days prior to the chapel date you are requesting. Copyrighted video, photos, or music will not be shown in chapel. Pre-produced videos must also meet technical requirements. Email chapelvids@oru.edu for more info.

    • Please double-check all information in the script you submit, and make sure the day of the week and date of your event match.

    If you do not need to schedule a time, please ignore the Calendly and hit the green submit button at the bottom. Due to availability and editing time, we will only be filming announcements on Wednesday & Thursday afternoons. We apologize if this affects who the talent is. After submitting a time in Calendly, you will still need to hit the green submit button on the bottom right to finish sending the request. Thank you!
