Market Location and Hours
The Lycée French Market ("LFM") will take place at the school’s campus, located at 1929 West Wilson Ave., Chicago, IL 60640. Market hours will be as follows:
- Saturday, November 11, 2023: 10 am to 5 pm
- Sunday, November 12, 2023: 10 am to 4 pm
Vendors must be ready for the LFM event at least 30 minutes prior to each day's opening time, and are required to be operational during the entire time of the Market each day.
Vendor Booth set up times will be assigned between 7 am - 9 am on Saturday, November 11. More details will be included closer to the date.
Vendor Booth Display Equipment
Vendors are required to bring their own Display Equipment such as tables, chairs, shelving, accessories and booth decorations. All Display Equipment, including additional backdrops and freestanding exhibits, must not get in the way of other vendors. All Display Equipment must be in good working order and should be securely balanced as heavy customer traffic is to be considered. Spaces will be delineated on the floor prior to vendor arrival. Merchandise is required to fit inside the rented space(s).
Please plan on bringing all of your own furniture, including any chairs needed.
If you forget your furniture, the school has a few tables and chairs that you may rent by the day.

Vendor Space Rental Fees
The size of each Vendor “Space” is approximately 8’ x 6’, about 48 square feet. Vendors may rent a maximum of 2 spaces to accommodate clothing racks, shelving, exhibits, etc.
Merchandise & Food Vendors: $300 for the entire market weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
Electricity: Electricity is not included in space rental fee. If you need an electrical hook-up to your booth, the cost is $50 for electricity to be run to your space.
Payment: There are 2 options for payment
For those who choose the credit card option, a service charge will be levied to cover the processing fees.
Space Allocation: The Committee will assign each vendor space in the large gymnasium or in the main hallway. Vendors may not switch spaces with other vendors. The Committee reserves the right to change the spaces after designation. Spaces will be marked on the floor prior to vendor arrival. Merchandise is required to fit inside the space(s) rented.
The Committee will email all Vendors an E-Packet prior to the event. E-Packets will provide specific information about arrival times, unloading procedures, space designation, “LFC” school layout, check-in and check-out procedures, directions, loading/unloading and parking information.
Wi-Fi connectivity will be provided. Server and password information will be provided in the E-Packet.
We ask all of our vendors to respect our school’s values and not sell any merchandise derived from exploited animals and those at risk of extinction. This includes any exotic animal skins, furs, crocodile or ivory products. Merchandise should avoid language and/or images that are not suitable for all ages.
Vendor's Responsibility & Hold Harmless
The Vendor is solely responsible for the delivery of merchandise, unloading, set up and for having sales staff in place prior to the opening and the duration of the event.
All expenses of any kind connected with transporting, packing, unpacking and insuring of the vendor's property or merchandise shall be the sole responsibility of the vendor.
The vendor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Lycée Français de Chicago ("LFC"), their agents, employees, contractors and officers from any loss, damage, claims, causes of action, personal injury, property damage or loss, demands for payment, expenses or any other liabilities whatsoever in connection with or arising out of the Event.
All commercial food and beverage vendors must supply a certificate of liability insurance (ACORD 25) with the Lycée Français de Chicago as the certificate holder.
Any damage to LFC or its property or the LFM event grounds, through carelessness or otherwise, by the vendor, its agents or employees shall be paid for by and the sole responsibility of the vendor.
Protection of Merchandise, LFC’s Non-Liability
Each vendor will make provisions for and ensure the safeguarding of its goods from the time they are placed on LFC premises until removed by the Vendor. LFC will provide a security guard to patrol the premises during the Event operating hours. However, LFC, its agents, and its employees, shall bear no responsibility or liability of any kind for loss or damage to the vendor or its property or merchandise, nor shall LFC, its agents or its employees assume any responsibility or obligation to prevent the same. The provisions of this paragraph are not intended to and shall not be construed to place any such responsibility, obligation or liability on LFC, its agents or employees.
All vendors and market visitors must follow the LFC's most current COVID-19 protocols at the market, as necessitated by the status of the pandemic at that time.
Acceptance of Vendor Agreement
Event and space rental fees are non-refundable.
The Committee requests that every vendor, and its agents and employees, follow all event rules and procedures contained in this Vendor Agreement, the E-Packet and as provided in other notices sent by the Committee. Any vendor not abiding by any rules and nature of the Event, which is for fund-raising for a not-for-profit school, may be asked to leave the Event at the sole discretion of LFC.
Signatures & Copies:
This Vendor Agreement may be signed in counterparts by the parties and email, pdf, and facsimile transmission of copies shall be used as originals for all purposes. Vendor will receive a hard copy of the contract at Vendor check in.
The Vendor Agreement shall be interpreted under the laws of the State of Illinois and any dispute shall be maintained in Cook County, Illinois. The prevailing party of any dispute or claim shall be entitled to recovery of reasonable attorney's fees and costs.
The rights of the vendor hereunder are not assignable to any other person or firm.
