The 2023 DAYL Trial Skills Boot Camp will begin with a lunch and an expert panel discussion on voir dire tactics and juror psychology featuring Judge Monica Purdy, Victor Vital, Julie Pettit, Rob Crain, and Kellye Raymond.
Following the panel discussion, participants will break into small groups and have a unique opportunity to apply the learned voir dire tactics and juror psychology on a small venire panel of actual prospective jurors. Each participant will then pick a jury based on the panelists’ answers. Experienced attorneys and judges will observe the voir dire to provide valuable feedback to each participant.
Other participating judges include Judge Tina Clinton, Judge Maria Aceves, Judge Nicole Taylor, Judge Martin Hoffman, Judge Dale Tillery, and Judge Veretta Frazier.
