Black on the Block Vendor Application

VENUE:

This is an ALL OUTDOOR venue. All vendors are required to bring their own tent and lighting for their setup. A tent is not mandatory, but recommended.

ACCEPTANCE PROCESS:

This is a curated market, so all vendors must be accepted by Black on the Block. You will receive an email within 2 weeks if you have been accepted with further instructions. You will only be contacted by us if you have been accepted. Acceptance is not guaranteed, even if you are a returning vendor.

Black on the Block does not send decline emails or application status updates to applicants. Requests from applicants regarding the status of their application may not be answered.

VENDOR AGREEMENT AND FEE:

You must sign our vendor agreement and pay your non-refundable vendor fee within 72 hours of receiving an acceptance email and invoice through Quickbooks. You will receive your acceptance email from quickbooks@notification.intuit.com. Failure to make payment by the date given in that email will lead to your spot being given to another vendor on the waitlist, so please be responsive.

VENDOR SET UP:

All vendors are responsible for their entire setup; including tents, tables, chairs, generators, and lighting. Free on-site parking is available for vendors. More details about this will be sent upon acceptance.

VENDOR INSURANCE:

All accepted vendors will be required to obtain General Liability insurance for the date of the event and submit it to Black on the Block. More information will be sent upon acceptance.

ENTRY FEE:

Attendees will be charged an entry fee of $12.

You may purchase a permanent feed post to advertise your business on our Instagram page as an add-on, in addition to your vendor fee. Example here.

Please note you must be accepted as a vendor first in order to use this option, and will be billed your vendor fee + add-on together. You will be notified of next steps if accepted.

Pre-packaged Dessert or Beverages

If you plan to sell pre-packaged desserts or beverages at your booth and you are not a food truck, please note you must submit a Temporary Food Facility application to Black on the Block in order to get approved by the LA County Health Department. The pre-packaged TFF fee is $82. The pre-packaged with sampling TFF fee is $116. You will be billed for this along with your vendor fee. Instructions for this will be sent with your acceptance email.

If accepted, I understand that I will submit certification form CDTFA-410-D to Black on the Block. The form will be provided to you.

I understand that I am responsible for my entire setup (including tents, tables, chairs, generators, lighting, and extension cords).

I understand that I will only be contacted if I have been accepted. Acceptance is not guaranteed. Black on the Block does not send decline emails or application status updates to applicants.

If accepted, I understand that this event is rain or shine and that I will have to sign a vendor agreement and pay my vendor fee within 72 hours of receiving an acceptance email. This fee is nonrefundable and nontransferable for any reason. Payment instructions will be sent with acceptance email.

If accepted, I understand that I will be required to obtain General Liability insurance for the date of the event and to add Black On The Block, LLC to vendor’s insurance policy as an additional insured. Proof of this insurance in the form of a Certificate of Liability (COI) will need to be submitted to Black on the Block. Submission instructions will be sent with acceptance email.

I agree that this Application and any other documents to be delivered in connection herewith may be electronically signed, and that any electronic signatures appearing on this Application or such other documents are the same as handwritten signatures for the purposes of validity, enforceability, and admissibility.
