    Admission Agreement

    We believe that the purpose of education is to prepare children for their best possible life. Our goals for them are, first and foremost, that they are whole and happy in a safe and enriching environment. Secondly, we aim to provide developmentally appropriate learning and social experiences that offer a beneficial foundation for future learning. We believe that children learn through play and make their own meaning by doing and experiencing. They need to be motivated by education to learn, ask questions and use critical skills to problem solve. Our core values include:

  • 1.) Hours of Operation: 7:30 am 5:30 pm, Monday Friday

  • 3.) Calendar Year:
    World City Center is a year-round school

  • 4.) Yearly Enrollment fee 
    There is a $100 enrollment fee that must accompany the registration form and is charged yearly in August for the school year. All enrollment forms must be completed and on file before a child can be enrolled. The enrollment fee pays for school supplies for the year that are used by all enrolled children.

  • 5.) Security Deposit 
    A security deposit of one month's tuition payment are due when enrollment documents are received by WCC administration This will secure a child's placement and will serve at your last month's tuition. The security deposit may be transferred to the following school year if the child is re-enrolled.

  • 6.) Payment and Refund Policy 
    Tuition is due on the 1st of every month. We accept cash. checks, money orders, and ACH. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS OR DEBIT CARDS FOR TUITION. Make all checks payable to World City Center. Enrollment fees and tuition payments are non-refundable.

  • 7.) Tuition during Mandated Closures 
    Tuition remains 100% due in the event of any mandated closures.

  • 8.) Changes In Tuition 
    As tuition fees are subject to change to reflect operating costs, each year, a new tuition fee schedule will be issued yearly. WCC increases tuition rates by 5% every year in response to inflation, increased expenses and teacher salaries. A 30-day notice will be given before any fee changes.

  • 9.) Holidays 
    A school calendar is issued at the beginning of each school year, listing holidays and other days the school will be closed. Tuition payments for ALL Holidays are due at 100% Holidays include all listed holidays, spring, summer. and winter breaks.

  • 10.) Vacation 
    Tuition payments are due at 100% during family vacations. We do not offer family vacation discounts.

  • 11.) Professional Development Days 
    WCC has professional development once per month, where we close for a half day. Professional development days allow our teachers' professional development and staff meetings throughout the year. Tuition payments are 100% due for all professional development closures. See the current year's calendar for dates.

  • 12.) Withdrawals 
    Your enrollment is for a full school year, which starts on the first Monday in August or your individual start date if your child is joining us later in the year. Early withdrawal, before the last month of the school, which is July of every year will result in a forfeiture of your security deposit. A thirty-day written notice must be given for withdrawal from the school. or a month's tuition will be charged.

  • 13.) Late Pickup Fees 
    Any family that picks up after 5:30 p.m. should be prepared to pay SI per minute for every minute late. In the event of a late pickup, you will receive a late pickup invoice at the time of pickup that can either be paid on the spot or added to your next month's invoice.

  • 14.) Late Payment Fees 
    Tuition is due on the 1st of every month. If we have not received payment on the first of the month, we will charge a $10.00 per day late fee for each of the next five business days. After these additional five business days and a maximum of $50.00 in late fee charges, we will no longer admit your child to our center until we receive payment and extra costs are paid in full.

  • 15.) Covid 19 Emergency Plan of Operations 
    Please see our Covid 19 Emergency Plan of Operations ADDENDUM to learn about WCC's policies and procedures concerning Covid 19. All enrolled families must sign the COVID-19 public health emergency special program attendance acknowledgment and disclosures, our "community agreement" before enrollment.

  • 16.) Returned Checks 
    There is a $25 fee for all returned checks. Money orders will be required after two returned checks.

  • 17 Meals 
    Parents are responsible for providing a balanced meal for their children for lunch. You must provide your child with an insulated lunch bag with an ice pack inside. Any food that must be heated must be sent preheated in a thermos. We do not heat lunches. We provide morning and afternoon snacks and filtered water for drinking. Should your child have dietary restrictions, you will need to substitute a snack.

  • 18.) WCC is a nut free school
    We are a nut-free school. The only butter allowed for lunch is sunflower butter.

  • 19.) Dismissal 
    The school reserves the right to dismiss a child from attendance for any reason whatsoever, including, but not limited to. health, lack of adjustment to the preschool setting. behavior that disrupts the cooperative climate of the classroom, delinquency of the tuition account, or harmful or disrespectful parent behavior.

  • 20.) Sharing of Contact Information 
    You may/may not share my contact information with other parents for volunteering. play dates, parties, etc.

  • 21.) Field Trips
    You may take my child on supervised field trips requiring transportation. I understand that I informed in advance of any field trip as to the destination, approximate time of return. and method understand that this information will be posted at the center as well.

  • 22.) Photography Clearance 
    I allow World City Center to take photographs and videos of my child participating in center activities.

  • 23.) Website and social media Clearance
    I permit these photos and videos to appear on the www.wcc-la.com website, the World City Center Facebook, ClassDojo, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest (no names will ever be used) and to be posted at the World City Center building.

  • 24.) Accident or Extreme Emergency
    If cannot be reached, I give my permission to contact my family physician and to follow his instructions. If neither my family physician nor I am available, I permit for the ambulance to be called to bring my child to the nearest emergency room (Kaiser Permanente) to be treated by the physician on duty with the understanding that staff will continue to reach me for further directions.

  • I permit medical treatment, general anesthesia, and surgery when necessary.

  • 25.) Sun Care
    I give my permission to World City Center to apply SPF 45+ on my child between the months of Oct. to protect him/her from the harmful rays of the sun.

  • I prefer to use my own brand and will send this in labeled with my child's name.

  • 26.) Directory
    I would like to OPT IN to the family directory.

    The World City Center Directory is published for all school parents and to each classroom and the World City Center staff. The directory is used by parents to schedule play dates and birthday parties and is used by the room parents in your child's classroom for planning WCC events.

  • 27.)  Core Values and Respect of Teachers and Staff
    I agree to follow he code of conduct, adhere to the core values of WCC, and always show respect to my child's teacher and the staff of World City Center.

  • 28.) Covid 19 Emergency Plan of Operations and Acknowledgements and Disclosures
    I have read WCC's Covid 19 Emergency Plan of Operations and understand that I must sign the Covid 19 Acknowledgements and Disclosures before enrollment.

  • Rights of the Licensing Agency

    The Community Care Licensing Division of the California Department of Social Services can interview children or staff and inspect and audit child or facility records without prior consent. The licensee shall make provisions for private interviews with any child(ren) or any staff member and the examination of all documents relating to the operation of the facility. The licensing agency has the authority to observe the child's physical condition (ren), including conditions that could indicate abuse, neglect, or inappropriate placement.

    Parents understand that children have rights and have received a copy of the personal Rights (LIC 613A Parents (s) understand that they have the right to visit and observe the school any time their child is in care and have received a copy of the Parents Rights form (LIC995 (9/08 Parents understand that they have the right to call or write the licensing agency if fault is found in the facility's operation or treatment of their child.
