    EXHIBITOR APPLICATION

    This application and the fees paid are for SPACE ONLY; you must provide your own booth structure and everything else necessary to conduct business.

    Premium exhibitor spaces are located on Castro Street between Market and 18th. All other Standard spaces are located at various locations throughout the fairgrounds.

Parking is provided free for Food and Beverage exhibitors. *Parking permits MAY be available day-of. The cost will be $35.

                      • EXHIBITOR AND OPERATOR INSTRUCTIONS

                        DATE, TIME AND LOCATION: Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

                        EXHIBITOR SPACE SIZES: All booth spaces are 10' x 10', except food booths which are 10' wide x 20' deep.

                        EXHIBITOR PERMITS: Exhibitor permits will be emailed approximately 1 week prior to the day of the Fair. You will receive a map of the fair area including an entry/exit route. You must have a copy of your permit to enter the fairgrounds with your vehicle. If for some reason your application is not accepted, you will be notified by phone or mail.

                        SETUP: Vehicles will be allowed to enter the fair area between 6:00 AM and 8:30 AM, and must be removed from the fair area by 9:00 AM. Booth spaces must be claimed by 9:00 AM or your space may be reassigned to another applicant.

                        BREAKDOWN:

                        Market Street: (including all food and beverage booths): Booth must be completely disassembled and Operator's area completely cleaned of materials and debris no later than 6:30 PM. All food & beverage sales must cease by 5:00 PM.

                        Castro Street: Booth must be completely disassembled and Operator's area completely cleaned of materials and debris no later than 7:30 PM.

                        HOURS OF OPERATION:

                        Sales may begin when booth is set up.

                        Market Street: Sales must end at 5:00 PM, due to street closure requirements that stipulate that Market Street must be cleaned and re-opened to traffic by 8:00 PM. If you continue sales after closing time, your application will not be accepted in subsequent years.

                        Castro Street: Sales must end at 6:00 PM. If you continue sales after closing time, your application will not be accepted in subsequent years.

                        BOOTHS, TENTS, TABLES, CHAIRS, ETC: Operator must provide their own booth structures, tents, tables, chairs, water and/or electricity. Presentation must be contained within the operator’s exhibitor space and cannot extend beyond the borders of the operator’s booth. Operator may stand in front of booth, but must not interfere with operations of neighboring exhibitors.

                        CORNER SPACE: A corner space means two sides of your booth are open. A corner does not mean that your booth is located at a street intersection in the fair. Corner booth spaces are the same size as regular booth spaces.

                        GENERATORS: All generators must be pre-approved and will require a San Francisco Fire Department inspection fee. If approved, the generator must be contained within your exhibitor space and exhaust fumes or noise must not disturb neighboring exhibitors.

                        AMPLIFIED SOUND: No amplified sound, including bullhorns, will be permitted.

                        FOOD AND BEVERAGE EXHIBITOR REQUIREMENTS: Food and beverage applications must be complete and received by Sept 1, 2023. The SF Health and Fire Departments must approve all food and beverage applications. Health and Fire Department forms will be emailed to applicants and must be completed and returned to the Castro Street Fair no later than Friday, September 8, 2023. Food vendors must comply with San Francisco’s requirements regarding compostable and recyclable materials. No more than three [3] vendors will be allowed to sell the same item. Alcohol may not be sold. Food and Beverage spaces are 10' wide x 20' deep, which includes a 10' x 10' serving area and a 10' x 10' prep area. 

                        REFUNDS: No refunds.

                      • EXHIBITOR AGREEMENT

                        Applicant/Operator (Operator) desires to operate a booth space at the Castro Street Fair to be held on 10/01/2023 in the vicinity of Castro Street and Market Street in San Francisco; and CSF, INC. desires to permit Operator to use such booth space, on the terms and conditions described in this agreement. In consideration of the promises made in this agreement, the parties agree that:

                        1)   CSF, INC. agrees that upon its acceptance of the completed application submitted by Operator, along with full payment for booth space rental, as set forth in that application, that it shall allocate a booth space location for use by Operator on above date according to the terms and conditions of this agreement.

                        2)   Operator agrees that Operator, or agents, employees or independent contractors of Operator ("agents"), shall conform with the requirements as set forth in the "Operator Instructions" attached hereto, which is incorporated by reference and made a part of this agreement.

                        3)   Operator agrees to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend CSF, INC from all liability from loss, damage, or injury to persons or property arising from the negligence or wrongful conduct of Operator or its agents.

                        4)   Jurisdiction: This agreement is entered into and shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute shall be resolved in a court of law in San Francisco, California.

                        5)   This agreement may not be assigned by either party without the prior written consent of the other party.

                        6) Castro Street Fair requires that exhibitors maintain General Liability insurance with coverage not less than $1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate, naming the Castro Street Fair as additional insured. Certificates of insurance showing proof of coverage should be sent to the Certificate Holder: Castro Street Fair, PO Box 14405, San Francisco CA 94114.
