We are happy to announce that the Moncton Highland Games will host a demonstration event in conjunction with the 2023 Highland Dance Competition
This is open to any new dancers ages three and up that are not competing but would like to participate. The dances will be performed on stage, but will not be adjudicated. Dancers will receive a participation ribbon. This is a wonderful opportunity to introduce young dancers to competitive Highland dancing. It is also an opportunity for parents and dancers to ‘learn the ropes’ without the pressure of competition.
Dancers can register for the individual dances that they know - 16 Pas de Basques, Pas de Basques and High Cuts, and the Highland Fling.
Dancers can perform in a white shirt/blouse, white knee socks, ghillies and a kil e. Your dance teacher should be able to help with costuming.
We would like dancers to be at the venue for 11am . Dancers will perform following completion of the morning dancing and prior to awards. Please complete the online form to register your dancer for this event – there is no fee.
