Terms & Conditions

Please read the terms and conditions below before submitting your registration form.
1. The course rate is per person and includes:

Classroom Students

Registration
Your course manual
A 3-day lecture on the stipulated dates including tasting wines
One theory exam fee
One tasting exam fee
A certificate and pin (on successful completion of the Certificate Wine Course)

Virtual Students

Registration
Your course manual
Courier delivery of your course manual
7 x 2 hour online lectures on the stipulated dates
Access to the online student portal
One theory exam fee
One tasting exam fee
A certificate and pin (on successful completion of the Certificate Wine Course)

2. Registration confirmation is subject to entry requirements.

3. Please note that full payment must be received prior to the commencement of the course. Failure to settle the course fee before the start date will result in the inability to attend the course.

4. Cancellation Policy:

14 days plus before the start of the course – full refund
7 days prior to the start of the course – 75% refund
Less than 7 days prior to the course – 25% refund
After the course start date – no refund

5. The onus is on the student to ensure that all details and personal information provided are correct.

6. 1-day Certificate Tasting Seminar takes place in Stellenbosch or Sandton for Virtual Students. Students are responsible for travel expenses incurred.

8. Practice tasting exams are optional and are not included in the course rate.

9. The student is liable for additional courier costs and any related customs charges outside of South Africa.

10. The marking of exams is 30 days from submission.

11. Results will only be released once full payment has been received.

12. On registration as a student participating in a course, you give consent to Cape Wine Academy to contact you via email, cell phone and WhatsApp to send you details for your course and other activities that may support your wine learning journey.

13. You consent to any picture of you participating in the course or at your graduation may be included in media releases or posted on Cape Wine Academy's website or social media.
