  • Pacific Women's Leadership Programme

  • Women in Sport Aotearoa Ngā Wāhine Hākinakina o Aotearoa is excited to announce the launch of our Pacific Women’s Sports Leadership Programme in 2023, delivered in partnership with Pasifika SiS Sisters in Sport. Based on the Global Sport Mentoring programme, this leadership programme aims to empower emerging female leaders from four Pacific Island nations through mentorship and cultural exchange.

    The programme dates are Monday 21 August-Friday 8 September 2023. Participants will arrive the day before and leave the day after the programme concludes.

    This programme is open to female leaders residing in either Fiji, Samoa, Cook Islands or Tonga.

    Please note: you will be required to attend the whole duration of the programme. Unfortunately, we will be unable to process your application if you cannot commit to the entirety of the programme dates.

    The following questions can be answered either through video presentation (3-5 minutes maximum) or in writing (Word Document). 

    • If you wish to submit a video presentation, you will need to record your presentation in portrait mode and upload your video in one of the following file formats: mp4, m4v, avi, wmv, mov.  Please review your video to ensure that the audio is clear and comprehendible.
    • If you wish to submit your answers in writing, you will need to copy & paste the questions below into a word document and upload this in one of the following file formats: doc, docx.

    • How do you believe the Pacific Women's Leadership Programme can support your personal and professional development?

     

    4. Project and Action Plan (60-90 seconds) or (300 words) 

    • What is your idea for an project that you would like to implement upon your return home, that will create direct positive outcomes for women and girls in sport and physical activity?
    • How will you apply what you learn in the programme to your work in your home nation, and how will you involve others in your community to achieve your goals?
    • What challenges do you think you might face in implementing your action plan, and how do you plan to overcome them?
