Guidelines for summer 2024
To enjoy a Christian community during our events, the following guidelines are to be accepted. The success of and enjoyment of our experience in Christian fellowship largely depends upon mutual respect and responsibility.
PARTICIPANTS WHO BREAK ANY OF THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. PARENTS, PASTORS, AND YOUTH LEADERS WILL BE NOTIFIED.
1. I will not bring or possess any form of weapon. The definition of weapon will be determined on the case-by-case basis by the International Youth Leader.
2. I will not strike or hit anyone at any time.
3. I will not devalue anyone by doing things such as teasing and name calling.
4. I will not bring or use or be under the influence of any drugs, alcohol, tobacco or over the counter stimulants.
5. I will not use cell phones, pagers, radios, MP3 players, DVD, CD players or any other distracting electronic device while attending events.
6. All over the counter prescription medicine must be in its original container and turned into the nurses' station.
7. Consideration and respect for others is always required.
8. Offensive language or behavior is not allowed at any time.
9. Sexual relations of any kind or inappropriate displays of affection will not be tolerated.
10. I will not enter a sleeping area without a chaperone.
11. I will wear the shirts and other materials assigned at the retreat.
12. All participates will take responsibility for dressing appropriately: Undergarments may not be exposed. Midriffs may not be exposed. Pajamas may be worn only in sleeping areas. Shorts worn by boys/men must be below knees. Straps on tank shirts must be at least 2 inches. Modest bathing suits are required, as well as a covering.
*Participants will be asked to change their clothing if their clothing is inappropriate.
