This contract is an agreement between The Well-Trained Dog & Pet Care and client's name.

Wedding Pet Attendant services will be provided at the rate of $100/hour plus mileage based on the current federal mileage rate starting and ending at our offices in Roanoke, Virginia.

Fifty percent of the cost of the fee for the service is required to book a Wedding Pet Attendant. The remaining 50% is due one month before the ceremony.

A second handler for the same cost is required for three or more pets. Rates for pet sitting, overnight pet sitting and other services can be provided at various costs.

The owner is solely responsible for any harm caused by their pet while their pet is in the care of The Well-Trained Dog & Pet Care.

In the event of inclement weather, natural disaster, or act of war, The Well-Trained Dog & Pet Care is entrusted to use best judgment in caring for pet(s). Client recognizes that in the event of inclement weather, natural disaster, or act of war, we reserve the right to alter services outlined in this contract.

In the event of an emergency, we have requested on your contract the name and phone number of a person living nearby.

If we are physically unable to reach your home due to impassable roads, please provide us with this information so that we can contact this person to request assistance.

If an evacuation occurs, your pet(s) may be transported to the designated “Safe Zone Location.” Your pets’ health and well-‐being is our utmost concern and we will contact you as soon as possible to keep you informed of these events.

Fenced in yards are wonderful playgrounds for our dogs and allow them additional space to exercise and play. However, no fence system is totally secure. We do not accept responsibility or liability for any client’s animals that escape or become lost or injured, fatal or otherwise, when instructed to leave the client’s animals in a fenced in area. This includes electronic, wood, metal or any other type of fence.

Personal Emergency: In the event of personal emergency or illness of pet sitter, Client authorizes The Well-Trained Dog & Pet Care to arrange for another qualified person to fulfill agreed upon responsibilities as set forth on this contract. Client will be notified in such case.

Early Returns/Last Minute Changes: It is not unusual for trip plans to change at the last minute, however, please understand that The Well-Trained Dog & Pet Care carefully schedules our time to service you and our other clients. Therefore, there are no refunds or credits for early returns or changes to the start of pet care.

Liability: The Well-Trained Dog & Pet Care and its employees agree to provide the services in a caring, responsible manner. The client waives and relinquishes any and all claims against The Well-Trained Dog & Pet Care and its employees, except those arising from gross negligence of the Attendant and/or Pet Sitter. Client agrees to notify The Well-Trained Dog & Pet Care of any concerns related to agreed upon services within 24 hours of return home. Any matter not brought to us will be considered concluded.

Emergency contact: Client agrees to provide The Well-Trained Dog & Pet Care with contact information where he/she can be reached while away. Client will also provide a name and phone number of someone who is authorized to handle any major problems that may arise. If Client or designated contact person cannot be reached in a timely manner, Client agrees that The Well-Trained Dog & Pet Care may resolve emergencies at its sole discretion.

Outdoor Access: The Well-Trained Dog & Pet Care will not be held liable for the well‐being or actions of any pet with unrestricted or unsupervised access to the outdoors.

Aggressive Pets: If a pet has a history of biting or other aggressive behavior, The Well-Trained Dog & Pet Care reserves the right to refuse or cancel service. The owner will be liable for the pet sitter’s medical expenses and/or damages that are the result of an animal bite or injury due to pet’s aggressive behavior.
