    This self-assessment tool will allow you to measure your soft skills related to networking, such as communication, teamwork, emotional competencies, autonomy, and others. Please evaluate each of the items with a (X) using a scale from 1 (Strongly disagree) to 5 (Strongly agree). The results of this survey will help you understand what competencies more developed and which ones need more work, as well as to tackle the needs in terms of training. 
  • Disclaimer

    It is recommended that the Networking Self-Assessment Tool be filled in autonomously and independently by young people with a high school education or higher. For young people with a lower level of qualification, it is recommended that they complete the tool with the support of a professional - from the social field, the field of employability, youth work or psychosocial support. The results are individual and are derived from the answers to each of the questions in the questionnaire.

  • Score per competence:

  • Considering the score you obtained in each of the competences, check your proficiency level bellow.

  • Example: if you scored 3.25 for the "Emotional Intelligence"  competency,  it means that you are at the  "Intermediate" level. However, if you have obtained 1.40 in  "Communication", it means that you are at the "Fundamental Awareness (basic knowledge)" level.


    It is possible for a person to obtain different levels of proficiency in different competencies!

    Your proficiency level is “Fundamental Awareness (basic knowledge)” – you have common knowledge or an understanding of basic techniques and concepts. 

     

    • Score 2,00 – 2,99

    Your proficiency level is “Novice (limited experience)” - you have a level of experience gained in formal and/or experimental scenarios. It is expected that when performing this skill support will be needed; focus on developing through learning and practical experience; you are able to understand and discuss terminology, concepts, principles, and issues related to this competency; using full range of reference and resource materials in this competency.

     

    • Score 3 – 3,99

    Your proficiency level is “Intermediate (practical application)” – You are able to successfully complete tasks in this competency as requested. Help from an expert may be required from time to time, but you can usually perform the skill independently; focus is on applying and enhancing knowledge or skill; having applied this competency to situations occasionally while needing minimal guidance to perform successfully; you are able to understand and discuss the application and implications of changes to processes, policies, and procedures in this area.

     

    • Score 4 - 5,00

    Your proficiency level is “Advanced (applied theory)” – you are able to perform the actions associated with this skill without assistance; being certainly recognized within your immediate organization as "a person to ask" when difficult questions arise regarding this skill; having consistently provided practical/relevant ideas and perspectives on process or practice improvements which may easily be implemented; being capable of coaching others in the application of this competency by translating complex nuances relating to this competency into easy to understand terms; participating in senior level discussions regarding this competency; assisting in the development of reference and resource materials in this competency
