  • Working with Pants OFF requires a unique set of traits:

    • Understanding the Intention:  our intention is to be a comfortable space for anyone to come and dance their cares aware, with or without clothing - and do so in a place where they can feel safe both physically and emotionally
    • Know There's Nudity:  yer gonna see naked bodies.  You're likely going to see naked bodies that don't look like yours or are unlike those you are familiar.  Being aware of this lets us be supportive and welcoming - no one is to be stared at or objectived or become the point of ridicule.
    • Safety is Everyone's Job:  we have specific roles patrolling the event and ensuring that attendees are keeping it clean, but it is everyone's responsibility that if you 'see something, say something'
    • ALL Bodies are Celebrated:  Pants OFF was created as an alternative to niche events that cater to one or more element of queer identity and focus on them solely - all gender identities are welcome, especially our trans, non-binary, BIPOC, and non-conforming friends.

  • Floor Supervisor

    These are our key staff who enjoy the event while also keeping trouble at bay and naughtiness at a minimum. We don't allow sexual activity and kindly, but firmly, discourage attendees whose excitement get the better of them. For this reason, a strong and firm but friendly attitude is required and this position must be a sober one. This position is usually in provided PODO staff tee and pants/shorts, but dressing in theme is always an option, as long as there is easily identifiable staff hat/armband/apparel. There are two shifts to this role: Early (8p-12am) and Late (10p-2am)

  • Dance Ambassador // Floor Go-go

    These are our fun-time party encouragers, dancing among the crowd and helping people have a great time, with a secondary function of being additional sets of eyes on activities ensuring that attendees keep it clean, at which point this role is to refer to a Floor Supervisor. Floor go-gos are strongly encouraged to dress in theme that doesn't impede movement and that allows them some authority when needed. These roles are granted permission to drink socially, but cannot be inebriated to do their role successfully and safely. This role is compensated with a stipend and bar vouchers.

  • Door/Merch Maven

    Get 'em in, sell 'em stuff! The Maven is the first point-of-contact and the information center of the event - sometimes folx feel nervous and shy, and a welcoming smile and attitude can change everything! Pretty self-explanatory, this is cash handling position managing admissions, wristbands, and possibly the sales of merchandise as well. We will have the ability to accept cash AND card at the door using a Square point-of-sale system, however this is user-friendly and easy to learn. There will be a small guest/VIPO (Very Important Pants OFF) list as well of folx granted entry without transaction. This position has permission to drink socially after first rush, but must remain vigilant and aware. The Maven is an hourly position.. THIS POSITION REQUIRES CURRENT OLCC CARD
