Format 2
All bowlers will play 6 games qualifying.
The first cut will be the top 24 (this may be subject to change depending on entries – 24 is based on 50 entries)
The top 24 will play a further 3 games. Then cut to the top 12, who will play 2 games, then another cut to the top 6 who will 2 games. The winner with the highest cumulative pinfall will be declared the winner.
It’s handicap throughout the event.
Averages
This tournament will be played on a Challenge Pattern type. Handicaps will be based on minimum of 12 games that you’ve played on Challenge patterns over the last 2 years, as recorded in the BTBA records. These will be published before the event and shown next to the squad lists for each bowler.
If a bowler has no challenge average over 12 games or more, a composite average will be calculated based on a standard and proportionate conversion of scores played on all pattern types (based on tournament scores recorded over the last two years in the BTBA’s records).
If any bowler has played less than 12 games in tournaments in the past 2 years, the Tournament Management will calculate an average based on your league average over 21 games.
Handicaps will be 100% of the difference between your average and 200.
Entry fee is £70, which includes £30.28 Prize Fund and £2 sanction fee.

· Squad allocation. I will move bowlers from the Sunday to the Saturday squad if they are local to the venue.
· One week before the event, I will confirm your squad time in an email. I will post squad lists on the event page regularly.
· If there are mitigating circumstances why you can’t move squads, i.e. you work shifts, you’ve booked hotels, your Viagra doesn't wear off till 11am, then please email me.

Tournament Rules
1. This tournament is sanctioned by the BTBA and will be played under their General Playing and Tournament rules, together with the following special rules.
2. Bowlers who are not members of the BTBA or fail to provide proof of membership are permitted to bowl providing they sign up for a year’s BTBA membership (£35). BTBA Membership will be checked on the BTBA database which is accessible at btba.org.uk. If the membership is subsequently proved 14 days after the conclusion of the tournament the individuals £35.00 will be returned.
3. A provisional ball must be rolled if a dispute relating to pin fall cannot be resolved immediately.
4. Protests must be made within 30 minutes of any infraction occurring and confirmed in writing within 72 hours to the Tournament Manager.
5. The Tournament Manager is Basher Bonfield. All correspondence by email to drwbonfield@yahoo.co.uk. The Tournament Manager reserves the right to reject and/or re-rate any entry and their decision on all matters shall be final, subject to an appeal to the BTBA.
6. Registration opens 30 minutes before each squad is due to begin practice. Each squad will have 7 minutes practice before Game 1 only.

8. In the event of a tie, the bowler with the highest last game will be awarded the place. If this results in a further tie, the bowler with the highest penultimate game will be awarded the place. The highest last game will be either scratch or with handicap depending on the division the tie is in.
9. The wearing of denim jeans, combat clothing and vests is prohibited.
10. This is a non-smoking event and no alcohol is allowed during the competition.
11. Before, during, and after the event there could be photography, filming or video taken of participants and medal winners by anyone attending the event, either as an official, spectator, parent or guardian. If you (as a participant, parent or guardian) object to this, you must make your objections known to the Tournament Manager prior to the event starting and reasonable adjustments will be made.
12. No game should exceed the maximum score of 300, including with handicap. If a game + handicap exceeds 300, then the individual will be awarded a score of 300
