A bit about these events – The idea is a friendly tournament that will give the bowlers a chance to bowl in an local event on a Kegel “Land mark” pattern. I want to give bowlers a chance to bridge the gap between league/house pattern bowling and an elite “Sports Tournament”. Thanks to our sponsors we are able to keep the price down so it will give you space to learn and grow as a Tournament bowler. I want bowlers to learn and test themselves but at the same time not feel too pressured by the bowling environment – And I hope this series of events will enable you to do that.
Playing Format and Rules - All Bowlers will bowl 6 games, moving lanes after every game.
Handicap will be 100% of 200 – Tournament manger has the right to re-rate any bowlers entering average. Please on the form below declare your highest average either from sanctioned or unsanctioned league or tournament play. If you don't declare an average you will play off scratch.
After 6 games are completed the top 3 scratch scores and the top 3 handicap scores will go through to a 1 game STEP LADDER
A bowlers highest position will take precedent. If they are the same position in both sections, then the scratch section takes precedent
In an event of tie in a bowlers scores at the end of 6 games then the bowler who shot the highest last game will take the higher place
If there is a tie in the step ladder playoffs there will be a 1 ball roll off, and this will continue until we have a clear winner
** the tournament will be played at doubles pace and changing lanes after every game – if I feel there is a big enough demand I may alter the format to trios pace and 5 games qualifying. A decision on this will be made up 10 days before the event – and the entry fee will be reduced accordingly.
The Money Shot …
Bowlers pay an additional 50p to enter the “money shot” – The tournament will pick a maximum of 5 names out the hat. In the order they are picked they get 1 ball to get a strike. If they get a strike they win the money - £30, if they don’t then the chance will go the 2nd name drawn out the hat and if they fail, it will go to the 3rd person.. and so on until we have gone through the 5 people who were drawn. If no one wins the “money shot” the money will go into prize pot .
Basher on the 1's and 2's
For an extra 50p you can put your name in the hat you get a chance to shot at a 7 pin and then a 10pin - if you take it clean out it's a £5'r in your pocket - so a total of £10 - PLUS if you achieve this you get another go ! a chance to double your money to £20.
300 pot
Thanks to our generous sponsors we give £30 to the first 300 bowled at ever event. If one isn’t rolled the money carries over to the next event.
Fees
To bowl in the event it will cost a bowler £35.00
