• One Act Audition Form

This is for the One Acts ONLY
  • With student-directed One Acts please understand that there are usually 2 to 3 One Acts rehearsing/Performing simultaneously. To make this work for everyone involved you need to understand the following:

    1. You can only be cast in one show. There will not be anyone cast in multiple One Acts at the same time.
    2. You are auditioning for BOTH of the two shows. You may want to be in show "A", but you could very well be cast in show "B".  So before you audition, understand that by auditioning you agree to be cast in EITHER of the two shows being produced.
    3. These are student-directed shows. Mr. Brady will pop his head into rehearsals or help a director when needed, but the whole point of this is to allow a student to direct and run the show.
    4. Auditioning for, or being cast in, a One Act does NOT mean you can't also be in the fall/spring production. You absolutely CAN be in a One Act AND the fall/spring show.
    5. New this year...if you are cast in a one act you will be required to to to districts AND FTC.

  • Disclaimer

  • Please be aware that if you are involved (cast or crew), YOU are fully responsible for your attendance at EACH and EVERY rehearsal as well as any meetings that may be called regarding the production.

    • Unless listed in conflicts, Dr. Appts are UNexcused.
    • You are expected to be at EVERY rehearsal listed on the calendar ON TIME!
    • If you are going to miss it, YOU must tell Mr. Brady in advance, don’t send a messenger!
    • YOU must secure transportation to and from EVERY rehearsal.
    • Tardiness and absences will not be tolerated and may lead to your dismissal from the production.

No matter how big or small your part may seem, it is still crucial to the production and will be gladly accepted by a more dedicated team member if you should cause any sort of problem or complication.

    • 2 Absences for ANY reason = probation (does not include absences listed in conflicts)
    • 3 absences for ANY reason = dismissal from the show (does not include absences listed in conflicts)
    • 2 Tardies = 1 absence

You may have a very legitimate excuse for missing rehearsal, but you have still missed it. You may be replaced for missing 3 rehearsals for ANY reason…even if your parents write you a note…you still missed it!!!

    • It’s YOUR responsibility to keep up with schoolwork. Missing rehearsal to study or catch up is unacceptable.
    • It is YOUR responsibility to talk to your employer ahead of time and make sure that your work schedule fits around our rehearsals. Failure to do that could result in your removal from the show. We understand that some of you need to work, but we have a show to produce. Missing rehearsals for work is not ok.
    • If you have a meeting with another club, you need to leave there in enough time to be in the theatre ON TIME!

This will be a fantastic show ONLY with dedication from all participants. The rules DO APPLY.

If any of the above sounds like it's too much to handle right now, that's perfectly fine. We understand we are asking a lot of you and your time. Let us know when you're ready and we promise, we'll welcome you with open arms.

    ____________________________________________________________________

By signing below, you are saying that you have read and understand the above conditions and information. You understand that as a cast or crewmember you are expected to attend all mandatory rehearsals and ANY absence NOT listed under conflicts will be counted as an absence.

You also understand that whether you are cast or crew, you may be asked to pay a production fee (the amount varies with the show) to help cover the costs of costumes, make-up, set construction, and other costs associated with the production.

BOTH student AND parent/guardian must sign this form prior to your audition.
