Airport of the Year (Commercial Business Sector)
Each year at the Australian Airports Association Retail & Commercial Forum, an airport-of-the-year award is presented to an airport (an organisation not an individual) that has shown outstanding performance in any element of the airport commercial business. This could be for strong financial performance, exceptional partnership behaviour, outstanding promotional campaigns or amazing contributions to sustainability and community.
Nominations can be made by anyone in the airport commercial sector – airports, concessionaires, brands/suppliers and service providers. You are able to nominate your own organisation or another organisation in the industry.
The award will be presented at the Form Gala Dinner, being held on 18 July, 2023 at the Queensland Art Gallery. Please note that the winners will be invited to attend the Gala Dinner to receive their award at no charge but their employers will be responsible for any travel costs.
The nominations will be assessed by a panel comprising the AAA, The Mercurius Group and The Moodie Davitt Report.
The inaugural awards, presented at the first Forum in 2022 we extremely well received by the whole industry – with prestige added given the awards were based on the nominations of peers and partners.
