Mindfulness complements SEL by promoting self-awareness, focus, and emotional regulation..Attending a mindfulness summer camp can provide numerous benefits for children. It helps them develop self-awareness, emotional regulation, focus, and resilience.
4. How do SEL and mindfulness integrate into the summer camp?
Our summer camp combines SEL and mindfulness to provide a comprehensive experience for children. Each day, we follow a consistent flow or framework that incorporates both SEL and mindfulness practices. However, the specific activities and themes change throughout the duration of the camp.
5. Are my campers doing the same thing everyday? What does the daily flow or framework consist of?
Structure even in the summer camp environment is necessary. Our framework is the same everyday in every age group ,but our activities change day to day. Our days includes a combination of group activities, individual reflection, and facilitated discussions. It starts with an all camp morning check-in and intention setting, followed by mindfulness exercises, enrichment activities and academics. The afternoons involve collaborative projects, creative expression, STEAM and outdoor activities. The day concludes with reflection and a all camp closing circle.
6. How are the daily activities tailored to different age groups?
While the daily flow or framework remains the same for every group, the activities within that framework are adapted to suit the specific age groups and changes daily to keep the campers excited and engaged.. We ensure that the content, language, and complexity of the exercises align with the developmental needs of children in different grade levels, from K to 8.
7. Can you provide examples of the daily activities?
Our daily activities encompass a wide range of experiences. They may include guided mindfulness meditations, breathing exercises, yoga sessions, cooperative games, art projects, nature exploration, journaling prompts, storytelling, STEM , music, dance and group discussions. Upon registration, parents & campers will receive a Welcome email with their Camp Instructors Bio, the Daily Flow and more camp information.
8. How can I register my child for the SEL & Mindfulness Summer Camp?
To register your child for the camp, please visit our website or contact our registration office. You will find detailed information on dates, fees, and registration forms. As spaces may be limited, we recommend registering early to secure a spot for your child.

10. Can parents attend or observe the camp?
In general, parents do not attend or observe the camp sessions. Creating a separate and focused environment for children enhances their learning and engagement. However, we may organize special events or presentations where parents can participate or observe if desired.

12.What qualifications do the camp instructors have?
Our camp instructors are experienced, certified educators trained in mindfulness practices. They have expertise in working with children in public, private and montessori environments and are passionate about creating a supportive and engaging experience. They possess the passion and necessary skills to guide children through mindfulness activities , foster their well-being as well as academic instruction and support to reduce summer learning regression.
13. How can I stay updated on my child's progress during the camp?
We understand the importance of parental involvement. We will provide regular communication channels, such as newsletters or online updates, to keep you informed about the camp's activities, themes, and your child's progress throughout camp.
14 . What is the cost of camp and are scholarships or grants available?
Camp is $250 weekly per camper. Our subsidy program is need- based and offered to campers on a first come first serve basis as long as funding is available. Please see the registration form for more information.
