This survey is a checkpoint so that you can confirm you have fulfilled all your requirements to Anywhere Festival and to provide critical feedback on the process of preparing for and presenting at Anywhere Festival.

We want to make the festival the best it can be for you as participants in the festival. We need to know what you liked so we don't throw it away and what needs to be improved.

If you had multiple productions, you can fill-out just one survey or by production, if your experiences were noticably different.

This survey will take 5-10 minutes and there isn't a save button, so make sure you have the time to complete in one sitting.

Anywhere Festival only takes 10% of box office, leaving the rest to you, unless you made an arrangement with a venue.

It is vital that council and government are aware of the cost of all the unpaid hours you put into presenting your work. We will use this to pitch for more money to go towards your costs and to help us create ways to make your work more financially viable. It needs a big change, but we want to make it happen. So...

If you had to pay award rates to develop and present your work, estimate how much the project would have cost. Here are some guide prices based on Australia Council and MEAA costs (http://www.alliance.org.au/oldsite/equity-summaries)

To make it simple, here are some quick calculations you could use based on theatrical rates. Other types of performance type rates will vary.

1. To calculate remount of a previously rehearsed show (number of creatives x number of weeks performances x $1,128.80)

2. New production = number of creatives x (number of weeks rehearsed calculate as full time + number of performance weeks) x $1,128.80 + $2,500 (miminum cost for new script)

Timing of 2024 Brisbane Anywhere Festival
When we began the festival in 2011 there was only Paniyiri and Brisbane Street Arts Festival. Now there is Botanika, the comedy festival and writers festival have moved to May along with Museum of Brisbane's BAD Festival, plus there's still mother's day, labour day and the Rugby league magic round, etc etc.

As a result we are considering moving the festival to late June into July.
What are your thoughts on June/July for 2024 Brisbane Anywhere? Good, bad, otherwise?
