• Adoption Application

    For The Brooklyn Rescue
  • Please read before applying:

Completing this application is the first step towards adoption of a cat(s), but does not guarantee that your application will be approved. Any adoption is contingent on a video interview and/or home visit and a non-refundable fee (see below) to help us cover vet expenses. All cats are dewormed, treated for fleas, tested for FIV/FELV and negative unless otherwise noted, vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered. Kittens too young to be spayed/neutered and still needing boosters for vaccines will be arranged to have this done by the rescue once old enough. Our adoption fee is $200 (there are special cases where this varies) which goes towards the above vetting and allows us to continue rescuing new cats. Any additional donations towards rescuing the next cat is always welcomed and greatly appreciated!

All kittens under 6 months old must be adopted with another kitten unless you have a young playful cat at home under 6 months.

Applicants must be 18+. The person applying must be the primary caretaker off the cats/kittens, we do not accept applications for kittens as gifts.

Please note we are a Brooklyn, NY based rescue. Applicants must live in, or near NYC.

We are a one-person rescue and we respond to applications as quickly as possible, usually within 2-3 days.
