The Horticultural Society of New York is seeking applications for guest facilitators to teach or share their practice at the Greenhouse Education Center at Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park. The Greenhouse Education Center offers a working greenhouse, a classroom with cooking facilities, a hands-on learning garden, and a pollinator-filled native plant garden. At the Center, the Hort offers a wide range of programs to engage community in cultivating people-plant connections through a wide array of programming in arts, healing, cooking, and gardening that aims to nurture the transformative power of being in relationship to plants in community.
We invite artists, food-workers, community gardeners, farmers, herbalists, culture-bearers, landworkers, thought-leaders, creatives and facilitators of all kinds who have a community-engaged centered practice to propose a session or series for our free drop-in workshops. Each facilitator is paid a rate of $100/1 hour workshop. We are accepting applications on a year-round rolling basis.
Please view Public Program Facilitation at the Greenhouse & Education Center Guide for more details and guidelines.
