Student etiquette and expectations
- Attend all classes: Regular attendance is crucial to the success of the program. Students are expected to attend all classes unless there is a valid reason for absence.
- Arrive on time: Students are expected to arrive on time for all classes and rehearsals. Tardiness can be disruptive to the learning environment and can affect the progress of the group.
- Participate in class activities: Active participation in class activities is important for learning and progress. Students are expected to engage in group discussions, ask questions, and participate in group activities and exercises.
- Practice regularly: Regular practice is essential to improving guitar skills. Students are expected to practice at least 30 minutes per day outside of class, and to come prepared to class with their guitar and any necessary materials.
- Come prepared: Students are expected to come prepared to class with their guitar, music, and any necessary materials. This includes bringing a tuner, extra strings, and a notebook to take notes.
- Be respectful: Students are expected to be respectful of their peers, the instructor, and the learning environment. This includes refraining from disruptive behavior, using appropriate language, and being supportive of others.
- Prepare for the concert: The final concert is an important part of the program. Students are expected to prepare for the concert by practicing regularly, memorizing their parts, and participating in group rehearsals.
Overall, students are expected to be dedicated and committed to the program and to prioritize their guitar practice and preparation. By doing so, they will get the most out of the program and be able to perform at their best during the final concert.
