Special Education and the School Administrator Academy (SESAA) is designed to assist principals, assistant principals, and other school-based leaders in building their knowledge and skills around special education. In the third cohort, administrators will have access to professional learning, executive coaching from experienced professionals, and to the UWGLive Avatar Lab. SESAA professional learning opportunities will cover special education law, FAPE, being an LEA for an IEP, supporting families, supporting teachers and other support staff, LRE, scheduling, discipline, special education data, and a host of other topics. SESAA will lead you through a process of designing to sustain success. We will remind you often of a building leader’s two main questions: Are students learning and are teachers growing?
