    - for New Team Members -
  • Welcome to the Alaska Air Group!

  • Using and sharing your Travel Privileges is a wonderful part of working for Alaska Air Group. Your first step is to visit the Team Member Travel Privileges Policy to review detailed information about the benefits and who is eligible to be enrolled in your travel privileges. You are responsible for adding only eligible travel dependents.*Fiancés and Children 19 yrs and older are not eligible to be a qualified traveler.

If you are adding a traveler, supporting documentation is required for each eligible family member and will be requested to verify eligibility. Please have this documentation ready prior to submitting your request.

In addition to designating your eligible Qualified Travelers, you can enjoy up to 20 one-way flight companion passes each year. An individual who does not meet the criteria of a Qualified Traveler may be eligible to fly with you as a Companion Traveler.

With this privilege, there are taxes on all Companion travel that occurs during a given month (imputed income). Please note, this only applies to Companion Travelers and does not apply to travel by you or your Qualified Travelers, as defined in section 4.3 of McGee’s Travel Privileges Policy.

Please also make sure you have completed the Travel Privileges Training located in McGee University to keep your travel privileges in good standing.

With this privilege comes great responsibility. You will be responsible for the behavior of the people you choose to enroll when they are using your travel privileges. Please take the time to educate your eligible family member(s) on what to expect when using your travel privileges and understand our Team Member Travel Privileges Policy. Not following these simple rules could result in the suspension of your travel privileges or disciplinary action.

  • Process for Enrollment:

  • Once you have reviewed the travel eligibility information, you are ready to update your travel dependents in your travel privileges.

Except in the case of certain qualifying events in your family,
you will not be permitted to change, or enroll in travel privileges again
until the next open enrollment period.

    Important:

    • You may add up to five (5) travelers to request at a time. For more than five (5) travelers, please submit a second request.
    • Supporting documentation is required to add travelers and will be requested to verify eligibility. Please have this documentation ready to start the enrollment process.
    • Your qualified traveler names and birthdates should be entered to match their government issued ID.
    • Each document MUST be official, legal documents. Hospital birth announcements and decorative marriage certificates DO NOT qualify and will result in denial of your request.
    • To enroll your parents, you must submit your birth certificate/document with your parents' names listed on the birth certificate/documentation.
    • As a new employee, you have 30 days from your hire date to enroll eligible travelers (also known as travel dependents) for travel privileges.

  • Acknowledgement and Signature

  • I acknowledge that I have received a copy of the policy and procedures manual, which describes important information about McGee Air Services’s (McGee’s) Travel Policy. I understand that I should consult the Human Resource Compliance Team if I have questions.

I understand that upon receipt and signature of this Affidavit statement, I and my Qualified Travelers and Companions agree to comply with the McGee Travel Policy. I agree that I will immediately notify McGee Travel, in writing, of any change in status, which makes this statement no longer true and correct. Should I or any of the above individual(s) receive and/or utilize travel privileges after I/he/she am/is no longer eligible, I hereby authorize McGee Air Services to deduct from my pay and/or bill me, in a lump sum, the full fare value (less whatever service charge(s) I have already paid) for any travel for which the individual was not entitled.

I recognize that this statement will be part of my official company records. I understand that should the information stated in this Affidavit be false and I misrepresented an individual who does not qualify, I will be subject to discipline, which may include up to and including termination of my employment or travel privileges.

I have carefully read this statement and understand it. I authorize payroll deduction(s) and/or invoices based upon these selections I have designated. If requested, I will be able to provide all required documentation proving the valid relationship of my Qualified Travelers. Until further notice from me, McGee Air Services can rely upon the information stated above is true and correct. I understand if I have any questions about travel policy, I can contact McGee Travel at Travel@mcgeeairservices.com.

I understand and agree that I am responsible for reading and complying with the Travel Policy and any revisions in this policy. I also understand that I am bound by the provisions contained in the policy, and that my continued employment is contingent on following those policies.
