PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
Prior to completing this application form you are required to read the SHOW HORSE COUNCIL OF AUSTRALASIA INC. document “JUDGES SCHEME – RULES & REGULATIONS, CRITERIA – 2018”, (Sections A – F).
1. A review of the SHOW HORSE COUNCIL OF AUSTRALASIA INC. Judges Lists and Judges Workshop attendances shall be conducted annually. The Judges Lists shall be updated at numerous times each year.
2. To remain on the Judges Lists it is mandatory that you attend at least one SHOW HORSE COUNCIL OF AUSTRALASIA INC. Judges Workshop within the twelve months of your acceptance on to the Trainee/General Judges List. Following this, it is mandatory to attend one workshop in the following three year period, and in each subsequent three year period
3. To remain on the Judges Lists it is mandatory that your membership be renewed promptly each year. Whilst you are un-financial you will not be considered for any judging appointment.
4. You are required to meet all conditions (including examination requirements) as set down in the SHOW HORSE COUNCIL OF AUSTRALASIA INC. document “Judges Scheme – Rules & Regulations, Criteria – 2016” (Sections A-F), prior to being placed on the SHOW HORSE COUNCIL OF AUSTRALASIA INC. JUDGES LIST.
To be placed on the ‘General Judges List’ an Applicant shall be required to meet ONE of the following Criteria, 1 to 4, AND pass the appropriate Examination. Which selection criteria do you qualify for?

For an Applicant who is a current or past competitor with a proven Show Record.
For an Applicant who has been a past competitor with a proven Show Record plus has a record of current and/or recent Judging experience.
For an Applicant having extensive experience in areas such as breeding, producing and showing of horses with a proven record of Judging at an Official Level.
Have successfully completed the requirements as set out in SECTION E – Trainee Judges.

This test is to be completed without supervision. The answers to this test can be found in the SHC Competition Rules, Disputes & Discipline, Judges Scheme Rules & Regulations and SHC Guide to Showing. These documents are available to download from the SHC website www.showhorsecouncilaust.com.au
We welcome your willingness to take part in this Judges' Examination and appreciate the benefits to all competitors of ensuring sufficient quality judges are available to fulfil the requirements of competition. Some people may have difficulty with the written word. Please don't let this inhibit you, as we can provide assistance. All questions should be familiar to a person with adequate knowledge to be a competent judge, and should be answered in your own words. The Pass Mark for this paper is 75%. Your paper will be assessed as soon as possible and presented to a meeting of the SHC for approval. You will be advised of the decision accordingly.
