    Alcohol and Drug (A&D) Acknowledgement & Consent

  • WSP Canada Inc. (WSP) is committed to protecting the health and safety of all individuals involved in our activities as well as the public communities and environment in which we live and work. We recognize that the possession, use and effects of alcohol, cannabis, illegal drugs, prescription and over-the-counter medications or other substances while on the job can impair job performance and the safety of other employees, subcontractors, the general public, and the environment.

     WSP has an established Alcohol and Drug Program:

    • To provide a safe workplace for its employees and those whose safety may be affected by the conduct of its employees, and;
    • To ensure that its employees are treated fairly and with respect.

    This program complies with the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace (The Canadian Model).

    If your job role requires testing, per section 2.2.2 in the WSP document below and/or based on the Training Matrix for the program site you are about to work on, an Alcohol breath test, and, a  5-Panel (Urine)(POCT and Laboratory confirmation) is required at a minimum, testing for:

    - Cannabinoids (THC)
    - Cocaine
    - Amphetamines
    - Opiates
    - Phencyclidine (PCP)

    Check with your project team if a client requires a different panel, and/or different screen / cutoff levels.

  • My signature below indicates that I have reviewed a copy of WSP’s Alcohol and Drug Program. I understand that this A&D program complies with the current version of The Canadian Model, and that some client sites may require a higher standard to follow than what is referenced in our current A&D program.

  • Additionally - Will you be working on Imperial / ExxonMobil sites in Canada?
  • Our Imperial / ExxonMobil contracts reference a standard called "Exhibit H".  If you work on this client's sites, all workers are subject to the requirements per this Exhibit.  Remediation Program Management (RPM) has a policy document titled PRC-015 that contains the requirements of Exhibit H, as well as meeting the objective stated in The Canadian Model.

  • My signature below indicates that I have reviewed a copy of RPM's Alcohol and Drug Program, document PRC-015. I understand that this A&D program complies with Imperial Oil / ExxonMobil's Exhibit H requirements.
