Labor and Birth Preparation: In-person ClassThis is a single three-hour in-person class held at the Family Birth Place. Expecting individuals or pairs will interact with educators for the first two hours over topics meaningful to their labor and delivery experience including review of the stages of labor, coping tools and options, and what to expect during their stay from labor to meeting their new baby. The final hour of the course includes a tour of both the traditional labor rooms and the midwife suites, with an opportunity to orient to the different spaces and practice labor coping techniques. Understanding Birth eClassThis online class covers eight chapters to guide you through pregnancy, labor and delivery. Chapters include pregnancy, labor, birth stories, comfort techniques, medical procedures, cesarean birth, newborn procedures and postpartum.

Understanding Natural Childbirth Techniques eClassThis class is designed to complement the comprehensive Understanding Birth eClass by providing information on the philosophy behind natural childbirth and a more in-depth look at comfort measures for labor. It does not cover medical procedures, cesareans, newborns or postpartum; therefore, it is recommended to pair it with our comprehensive Understanding Birth eClass (Using the "Combine and save" option below).
