  • SEAMEO TROPMED Network Office is conducting a market survey to gather views and information from Ministries of Education and other related institutions related to capacity building/professional development for officials and staff involved in the planning, implementation and evaluation of school health programmes.

The interdependency of health and education have long been established. Studies have shown that healthy students are better learners, and better-educated individuals are healthier. Research has proven that a comprehensive school health program can be an effective strategy to ensure a positive outcome of this interdependency. An effective school health program contributes not only to meeting targets of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) # 3 (Healthy Lives and Well-being) & 4 (Quality Education) but also a number of targets of SDGs #2 (Zero Hunger), # 5 (Gender Equality). # 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), and #13 (Climate Action). Thus, School Health can be considered as an investment.

It is in this context that this market survey for school health capacity building is being undertaken.

We invite your participation to assist us in developing training courses and strengthening existing academic programmes that will match the needs in school health competencies in the region.

The information gathered will be treated as STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL.
    Thank you for your participation.
