To better plan a high-quality Continuing Education event and expedite GPA Approval, please consider these points when applying for GPA approval for CE Programs:
The following information must be accessible to attendees (on the website or in promotional materials):
Your Evaluation Form must include questions that evaluate:
See GPA's Evaluation Form Questions here.
If not using GPA's form, all Sign In Sheets must include space for the attendee's full name, degree type, and whether or not they are a psychologist.
Please be aware that it is GPA policy that presenters must be doctoral-level (i.e. have received a doctoral level of education and training). If a workshop is being co-presented by multiple presenters and one or more than one of the presenters is not doctoral level, then 50% or more of the workshop must be presented by the doctoral-level presenter. This must be made clear based on the schedule of the workshop as indicated later in the application. Exceptions may be recognized in individual cases, such as in the case of a national expert in a specific field, or experts in another related field with adequate formal mental health training.
We strongly encourage you to look at the provided examples. Click here for example.
If you are applying for more than 10 sessions, please fill out the application a second time to include additional sessions.
Thie application will be reviewed for GPA-Approval for psychologists. GPA-Approval qualifies an approved program for continuing education credits in the state of Georgia. This is not the same as APA-Approval. Psychologists should check with their state licensing board before counting the credit from this workshop toward continuing education requirements in other states.
