  • APPLICATIONS NEED TO BE SUBMITTED AT LEAST 30 DAYS PRIOR TO EVENT DATE.
  • One-day workshops requiring one CE Certificate. $350 for 1-6 CE hours 

    Workshop series requiring ONE CE certificate.

    The definition of a “series” is a group of workshops for which there is one registration and the same attendees throughout, and for which only one CE Certificate will be awarded at the end of the series. All sessions of the series must meet all APA criteria.

    $450 for 1-15 CE hours 

    $600 for 16 or more CE hours 

    Conferences requiring ONE CE certificate.

    Attendance at the entire conference is required. All workshops must meet APA criteria.

    $450 for 1-15 CE hours 

    $600 for 16 or more CE hours 

    Conferences where multiple individual workshops are offered requiring multiple certificates. $600 for 1-15 CE hours

    $225 per additional 3 CE hours

    Repeat Applications: All details besides the date and location must remain the same. Conferences (requiring multiple certificates) that are applied for separately must pay the regular full rate. Workshops that are repeated within one calendar year qualify for this rate.

    $175 for each additional date if applied for together

    $250 if applied for separately

     

    Applications will not be accepted within 30 days of the workshop.

    A link to pay the application fee will appear in your confirmation email once you submit your application. The application will not be reviewed until payment has been made.

     

  • Please note that GPA-Approval is not APA-sponsored CE credit. GPA Approval is only guaranteed to qualify for Georgia licensed psychologists. Other state license holders and occupations should check with their respective licensing board.

    • Standards for GPA CE Approval 
    • To better plan a high-quality Continuing Education event and expedite GPA Approval, please consider these points when applying for GPA approval for CE Programs:

      • Continuing education in psychology builds upon a completed doctoral program in psychology.
      • CE Approval requires a doctoral-level presenter in most cases.
      • Continuing education in psychology must include the direct input of psychologists in all phases of the decision-making and program-planning process for the activities offered to psychologists for CE credit.
      • Continuing education in psychology must both select instructors and develop program content that respect cultural, individual, and role differences, including those based on age, gender, gender identity, race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, language, and socioeconomic status.
      • Continuing education in psychology must develop educational objectives that clearly describeWhat participants are expected to learn; and
      • How participants can apply this knowledge in practice or other professional contexts.
      • Continuing education in psychology must be grounded in an evidence-based approach.
      • CE programs that are focused on application of psychological assessment and/or intervention methods must include content that is credibly supported by the most current scientific evidence.
      • CE programs may also provide information related to ethical, legal, statutory or regulatory policies, guidelines, and standards that impact psychology.
      • Continuing education in psychology must obtain the CE participants’ evaluation as to how well each educational objective was achieved.
      • Continuing education in psychology must assess the participants’ satisfaction, using a written evaluation form, with the overall program.
      • Continuing education in psychology must award CE credit for psychologists on the basis of one credit per one hour of instructional time.
      • Continuing education in psychology promotional materials must contain accurate and complete information for potential program participants.

    • The presenter’s demonstrated level of expertise.
    • The presenter’s teaching ability.
    • The degree to which the participant learned something.
    • The participant’s perception of the utility/value of the program to their professional development or work.
    • Participant’s overall satisfaction with the CE.
    • The degree to which each learning objective was met.

  • GPA CE Policies

    Please initial next to each line item indicating that you understand the following polices.
  • Thie application will be reviewed for GPA-Approval for psychologists. GPA-Approval qualifies an approved program for continuing education credits in the state of Georgia. This is not the same as APA-Approval. Psychologists should check with their state licensing board before counting the credit from this workshop toward continuing education requirements in other states.

  • Sponsors are required to ensure the accuracy and usefulness of content delivered by instructors. Sponsors are also responsible for ensuring that statements are made regarding the limitations of the content being taught, the most common risks and any severe risks of the therapeutic interventions taught, and are required to ensure that the basis for such statements are made clear during each presentation.

  • Please be aware that it is GPA policy that presenters must be doctoral-level (i.e. have received a doctoral level of education and training). If a workshop is being co-presented by multiple presenters and one or more than one of the presenters is not doctoral level, then 50% or more of the workshop must be presented by the doctoral-level presenter.   • If GPA determines the application does not fulfill the requirements of APA and GPA standards, $75 will be kept as an administrative fee. The balance will be mailed back to the contact person.

    If the applicant withdraws the application before approval/disapproval, $75 will be kept as an administrative fee. The balance will be mailed back to the contact person.

    There are no refunds after approval.

  • Upon approval, GPA will provide the following materials:

    1. Letter of Approval
    2. CE Certificate
    3. Evaluation Form (if requested)
    4. Sign In Sheet (if requested)

    Materials should be emailed to CE@gapsychology.org. Failure to supply these items will result in subsequent programs being denied GPA CE approval.
