Interested in your thoughts...

At the May Executive Meeting, the Valley View Board was presented with a budget for approval that results in a net loss of $ 5,000 for the 2023-2024 Fiscal Year (7/1/23 - 6/30/24). The loss is attributed to the increased food costs since leaving Famous Dave's.

If you recall, when relocating to the YMCA, the Board voted to only meet 3 weeks each month to reduce this expense. However, as our membership began to increase and members missed gathering weekly, a collective decision was made to return to weekly meetings.

The Board tabled approval of the budget to next month so that we can hear from you.... Please let us know what you think :)

One Option...

We have been advised we currently have the lowest membership fee of area Rotary Clubs. We could increase quarterly dues from the current $125/quarter to a still lower amount of $145/quarter (an additional $80/year).

While this is still a reasonable membership cost, increased fees could potentially conflict with our stated goal of encouraging more new members and maintaining a fair to all concerned environment.

I enjoy the breakfast options provided by Festival and would prefer we make no changes.I would prefer we have 1 or 2 weeks of reduced options to help reduce the cost of our weekly meetings. Suggestions include coffee/juice with bagels and muffins as an example (no hot selections).Other
