FBLA's National Leadership Conference in Atlanta presents an exceptional opportunity for aspiring student interns. We are delighted to offer a range of unpaid internship positions, each of which offers a unique chance to gain behind-the-scenes experience at a national conference.
To participate, interns must pay the NLC registration fee and take care of their own travel, accommodation, and meal expenses. In return, interns will receive a Certificate of Appreciation and an appreciation gift to commemorate their valuable contributions.
We require interns to commit to at least one full day of support from 8 am to 4 pm during the conference. The positions available are:
- Awards Intern: Help to ensure that things backstage are set with awards before the Awards Session and assist backstage with awards during the ceremony.
- Competitive Events Intern: Assist with check-in of judges, accompany the Awards Coordinator in the competition area, and double-check room setups the day before competitions.
- Future Leaders Expo Hall Interns: Work with the national staff (Development Manager and Director of Finance) to ensure the Future Leaders Expo runs smoothly, greet and check-in exhibitors and advisers at the Advisers VIP Lounge, assist at the Member Booth and FBLA Store, unpack and set up for regional meetups, and undertake other duties as required.
- Programming Intern: Aid the speaker check-in process, escort speakers to their workshop rooms, and provide program support during workshops, including introducing speakers and collecting data such as the number of attendees.
- Social Media Ambassador: Work with the national staff (Digital Marketing Specialist and Director of Communications & Marketing) and National Officer Team to help monitor and create content for national social media accounts, including capturing photos and videos and creating graphics and Reels.
