1. No more than 5 inductees will be enshrined per year. A max of 2 inductees per sport per year. A team may be submitted as well. Team selection need not occur every year. Exceptions can be made on a unanimous vote by the committee.
2. Student-athlete was a full-time athlete for a minimum of 2 years.
3. Student-athlete must have completed a degree at UP.
4. Student-athletes are eligible for nomination a minimum of 5 years following the graduation of his or her class at UP.
5. To be eligible; Student-athlete must have been at least a two-time, first-team All-Conference selection OR a combination of a Second team selection AND a First team selection as well as an All-American. Teams not affiliated with a conference must have comparable honors.
6. A coach, administrator or staff member is eligibile a minimum of 5 years following his or her tenure at the University of Providence. Any coach, administrator or staff member with over 15 years of service to UP will have an exception granted and be eligibile immediately upon leaving the University. Any coach or administrator with over 20 years of service will become eligibile upon reaching that mark, even if still employed with the University.
7. While athletic achievement, and other contributions, is of prime importance, moral character and good citizenship, during both undergraduate and post-graduate years, will be considered in the selection process.
8. Hall of Fame induction criteria can be modified upon agreement of the University president and the Hall of Fame committee.
Those nominated, but not selected, will remain on the nominee list for 5 years.
