What is a band volunteer?
It takes many volunteers (60+) to assist the band at games and contests! The volunteers take care of the logistics so the students and band directors can focus on their performances and have a great marching band experience! Volunteering is a great way to get to know your student’s friends and meet other parents. Lots of volunteers lighten the load!
Each week, you will receive an e-mail from the Volunteer Coordinator listing the details of the event and volunteers needed. If you are able to volunteer, you can select the task(s) you want assigned to you. Not a veteran volunteer? No worries - on the job training will be provided.
Please indicate your area of interest. Please know that you are NOT signing up for every game! Duties are assigned each week via the email from the Volunteer Coordinator.
Game Meal Servers - Help pick up and serve meals to students in the commons at 4 pm before they depart for the stadium. (need 10 each week).
Chaperones - Ensure the students get to/from the games and contests safely with all their gear. Some chaperones ride the bus with the students (which usually departs at 5 pm from CLHS). Other chaperones meet at the stadium. Chaperones escort students from the buses to the stadium, help fill the big water coolers, and coordinate refilling student water jugs as needed. (need 15 each week).
Half-Time Action Team - Move the pit percussion equipment and show props onto and off the field. (need 20 each week).
Hydration - Fill coolers and jugs with ice and water then distribute water and ice to the students at 4 pm during game meals. Prep jugs and load onto trailer for use at stadium. Needed every game and contest days. (need 4- 5 volunteers each week).
Truck Load/Unload - Provide safety oversight for the loading crew (need 2 each week).
Pictures/Video - Take pictures or video the show (need 2 each week).
Sell Spirit Items - Sell shirts, decals, etc. during band events (need 1).
Rock-A-Thon - Collect give-aways, buy food, help with admission, run games during the event (need 5).
Bites at the Lake - Find resturants to participate, purchase supplies, help with admission (need 5).
THE BOOSTER CLUB SPENDS OVER $150,000 PER YEAR SUPPORTING THE CLHS FALCON MARCHING BAND AND COLORGUARD.
Parental support of the Band and Colorguard is critical if our students are to have the top quality experience that has come to be associated with our Band and Colorguard programs. Please show your support by joining the CLHS Falcon Band Booster Club (FBBC).
Your tax deductible* donation will help the FBBC purchase the marching show, equipment, and uniform extras; help pay for contest fees, adjunct instructors, and clinicians; and help provide many other things which are not paid for by CCISD. As a member of the FBBC, you will help ensure that our students have a great experience!
One more great reason to join is that you get to become a voting member of the FBBC. Any amount of your donation for membership above $40 counts towards your student Rock-A-Thon totals which allows them better prizes.
FBBC members will be recognized in the Winter and Spring Concert Programs and on the Band website. The minimum donation for membership is $40. Every membership donation makes a difference!
*any portion of a donation exceeding $40 is tax deductible. Ex: If you elect the Friend membership, $20 is tax deductible. For the Patron, $60 is tax deductible.

The Falcon Band Booster Club will again be offering Game Day Meals prior to the football game. You may place an order for any or all days. Game meals are only avaiable during online Fee payment.
Why choose FBBC Game Meal Deal?
#1 Reason - Convenience! Have you seen the parking lot at the high school? On game days, the students go directly to from school to practice or "run through" from approximately 3:15 - 4 pm. They then have 45 min to an hour (at best) to eat, get dressed, and be present for roll call at 5 pm before boarding the bus.
There are few restaurants within walking distance and the lines are frequently long. Many students do not drive or have transportation
SAFTEY - For those who do have a car, parents would rather their student not be in a hurry to eat and get back to school by 5 pm.
Chaperones are welcome to order as well. Fill out a seperate form with your student's name and select 'Meals Only'.
