This form is to assist moving Excess Stock to a store that is in need of this stock.
Steps are
1. Identify areas or locations of stock that you regard as Excess
2. In particular, look for areas of OLDER stock that are more likely to be needed by other stores. AVOID NEW stock that other stores are less likely to need.
3. Identify a “parcel” or location of “similar” stock that will fit on 1-2 pallets (Similar stock eg all Dolls, Vehicles etc)
4. One “parcel” of stock only per Excess Stock Form
5. From the parcel of similar stock, scan up to 20 lines and enter in to the Excess Stock Form. Parcel of stock can be greater than 20 unique lines, so long as stock is similar. Stock can be put onto a pallet if needed, but do not transfer as yet
6. Await advice of Destination Branch from Admin. The Destination Branch is selected as the Branch that is most in need of the parcel of stock.
7. Once Destination Branch is advised, you may Transfer parcel of stock to Destination Branch. Label Pallet with Location Number and Destination Branch. Feel free to advise the Destination Branch to expect the stock from your store.
8. Arrange for the warehouse to collect the stock
9. The Destination Branch may find some lines it does not need. Store to find another store that requires stock, or include in a new Excess Stock Form
