    The members of the board of directors and faculty shall subscribe to the following statements:
    1. I, as far as I know my own heart, have repented from my sins against God and have received and still do rest upon Jesus Christ alone for my salvation as He is offered to me in the gospel.
    2. I also confess that by God’s grace I am living in fellowship with God according to His commandments and that my service to The City School is motivated out of a desire to service Jesus Christ in gratitude for my salvation.
    3. I confess and agree to what is affirmed in the Statement of Faith (see page 2 of attached annotated ByLaws) and furthermore do promise to always test all I believe, practice and teach by the rule of the Word of God in all that it affirms, including what it affirms about history, science and the cosmos.
    4. I also agree to submit to and abide by the by-laws and board policies of The City School (Annotated version attached. Full text available upon request.)
    5. I agree to uphold the Westminster Larger Catechism, questions 1-160 as the theological and ethical basis for The City School and for the policies of its board of directors. (Available upon request)
    6. I confess that the Holy Spirit has taught the truth of Scriptures that we confess to His worldwide church through the ages. Therefore, we treasure the grasp of biblical truth conveyed in the oral confessional tradition of the black and other ethnic churches, as well as in the written summary statements of the classic creeds.
