1. The fee for rentals includes 1.5 hours of cleaning after the event. If additional clean-up hours are required there will be a $70.00/hour additional cleaning charge, which will be deducted from the damage deposit. The renter will be responsible for costs to cover damage to the facility and/or its contents that exceed the damage deposit amount. Damage deposit will be returned once the janitor has confirmed no additional time or charges were required. The amount charged will be determined by your rental. $100-175 for private renters, and up to $500 for commercial renters.
2. The premises must be left in the same condition as found; i.e., tables wiped down and put away, chairs restacked according to charts (located on closet doors); dishes washed and put away; all equipment & decorations removed; garbage bagged & put in the outdoor garbage shed at the north east corner of the building (near playground)
3. The BCCA will not be responsible for damage to or loss of any equipment, supplies, etc. left in the hall prior to, during or after the rental is completed. Remove everything from the premises when done.
4. The BCCA will not be responsible for damage, loss or injury to any person using the Hall, its equipment, or facilities.
5. The renter must acquaint himself/herself with the location of the fire extinguishers, and fire exits and ensure that means of egress and fire exits are clear and that fire exits signs are illuminated at all times. Do not exceed the FIRE REGULATIONS CAPACITY of 175 people in the hall.
6. A first-aid kit is located in the kitchen and there is an AED located on the wall in the main hall.
7. All decorations must be flame retardant. Decorations are not to be placed on the ceiling and must be attached to the wall with masking tape, painters tape or any tape that does not remove the paint. No nails or screws permitted on the walls or ceiling of the main hall or on the posts or walls of the pavilion.
8. The entire hall is a smoke free building. Smoking is permitted outside of the lower double doors where there is a cigarette disposal container.
9. The renter will be responsible for damage costs that exceed the damage deposit amount, which will be charged in a fee separate from the rental fee amount.
Release of Liability, Waiver or Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement
I, authorized signatory of the lessee holder, agree that the lessee holder will indemnify and save harmless the Black Creek Community Association, its officers, employees and volunteers from and against any and all claims whatsoever, including all damages, liabilities, expenses, costs, including legal or other fees, incurred in respect of any such claims or any actions or proceedings arising directly or indirectly from or in connection with my use of the Black Creek Community Centre.
On behalf of the lessee holder, I agree that the Black Creek Community Association has not made any warranties or representations respecting the suitability or condition of the premises of the Black Creek Community Centre.
On behalf of the lessee holder, I declare that I have read, understood and agree to the terms and conditions of this contract agreement and to this release.
