Welcome to the registration for the Machine Learning with Python Training brought to you by the New Jersey Alliance for Clinical & Translational Sciences Workforce Development Core.
In order to proceed, each participant must fulfill the following criteria:
- Review fundamental workshop course module descriptions here.
- Review 4.5 hours of basic training pre-recorded lessons before Tuesday, June 20, 2023
- Review 4.5 hours of advanced training pre-recorded lessons before Thursday, June 22, 2023
- Have a Google ID to access the Google Cloud Platform.
During this workshop, all participants will learn to....
- Apply concepts, methodologies, and frameworks of data mining to improve patient care.
- Collect, organize, and analyze large sets of data to gain a meaningful understanding.
- Use data mining tools and techniques to provide support for patient care decision making.
- Get to know the practical skills of using open-source machine learning tools (Scikit-learning) to solve real-world medical-related data mining problems.
- Communicate the results of data mining and recommendations of actions to others effectively.
- Develop and apply critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills needed for data mining and analysis.
The 2-Hour Hands-on practice includes the following breakout session topics:
Where should I run my data mining and machine learning?
- Programming in Python vs. R
- Reproducible Results with Python Notebooks
- Software packages
- Steep Learning Curve in setting up your computing environment for data mining practice
- Move your stuff to Cloud, Google Colab
This 4-hour workshop can be applied to multiple specializations or Professional programs offered in the NJACTS Community.
