This remote internship is great opportunity to use critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, gain health management experience, and develop professional skills firsthand. - Health Managment Intern: • PCG is seeking an intern to support one or more Medicaid revenue maximization and financing projects. PCG supports our clients in determining the full cost of healthcare services in compliance with federal and state cost reporting principles. PCG offers phone and email support to providers to ensure they are able to meet reporting requirements, reviews cost reports for accuracy, completes calculations to determine provider cost and updates our clients on project status and issues that arise.
- Internship Summary of Responsibilities:
- An intern with PCG will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide array of fields in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Attend and participate in weekly intern curriculum of events, including a leadership speaker series, networking opportunities, and a team-based consulting project.
- Work with various internal PCG teams associated with Medicaid revenue maximization projects.
- Work with Project Managers to complete a “desk review” in which submitted cost reports are reviewed to ensure reasonableness and accuracy of reported costs.
- Develop written desk review questions and work with providers to obtain responses.
- Update project documentation files with the Project Manager.
- Conduct research to support Medicaid revenue maximization projects.
