All current teams have first right of entry.

Monday 8th July 2024
Thursday 11th July 2024
Competition Finals:
Monday - Semi - 18th Nov, GF - 25th November
Thursday - Semi - 21st Nov, GF - 28th November
Team Nomination Fees: $135 per team
Team nomination fees are not refundable under any circumstances.
Acceptance of team into competition
Teams will be notified of their acceptance into the competition via email prior to the start of the competition.
Team Nomination payment must be received by the due date stated in the acceptance email.
Conditions of Entry
Referees: every team is required to nominate a player as a referee.
Due to a shortage of referees, all teams must choose a player to act as a referee. This chosen player may need to officiate in urgent situations. The referee manager will reach out to these selected individuals before the start of the season. Nominating a player as a referee is mandatory for a team's registration to be considered complete.
Player referees will be paid $15 per game.
Players:
Minimum of 7 players per team to nominate. Please note these players must be registered prior to the first round of competition.
Team Uniforms:
All teams must have a full set of uniforms, they must have numbers on front and back.
Shorts must be the same colour throughout the team or black, singlets must be of the same design and colour.
With so many teams in the competitions, we ask that all new teams purchase reversible singlets.
Game Fee Payments:
Game fees are paid using the TEAMPAY app – all team members must download the app onto their phone and fees will be debited by your team captain each week to pay the game fees. The Teampay User Guide will be attached to your confirmation email.
Current Game Fees - $90 per team per game – must be paid 20 min before the start of the game.
Registration Fees: these fees apply to each player.
All players must be registered with BQ/GCCRBA to play in the competition
Basketball Australia Levy - $5.50 (Yearly)
Basketball QLD registration fee - $82.15
Gold Coast Basketball - $55 per season - payment thru Teampay
Forfeit Bonds:
New teams - must pay a Forfeit Bond - $180, this is charged to your Teampay account in Round 2.
This bond must remain at this amount for the entire season – if your team forfeits a game, you must pay a forfeit fee before your next game, failure to do so may result in your team being removed from the competition.
Forfeit Fees:
Forfeit fees are as follows:
More than twenty-four (24) hours notice of the forfeit is given to the
competition manager — two (2) times the ordinary game fees.
Less than twenty-four (24) hours notice of the forfeit is given to the
competition manager — three (3) times game fees
Less than one (1) hour's notice of the forfeit is given to the competition
manager — four (4) times game fees
Team withdrawals or disqualifications:
If your team withdraws from the competition during the season – 2 weeks’ notice must be given, and your forfeit bond will be used to cover game fees for the 2 weeks.
Gold Coast Basketball can remove any team or player from the competition if they do not abide by the Competition By-laws.
Team forfeit bonds, nomination fees, and registrations will not be refunded if a team/player is disqualified from the competition.
By nominating for this competition, you are agreeing to abide by GCCRBA Rules and Regulations.
Court Hire – Venue Unavailability:
GC Basketball work extremely hard to lock in as many competition dates as possible but there are times when changes to the fixture are unavoidable. Some of these changes include, competition being moved to another venue, court allocations being changed, and round dates being cancelled or delayed. These changes are out of our control.
