Terms for New Client Acceptance
Effective January 31, 2024 and extending through April 15, 2024, BB Tax & Accounting tax professionals:
- Will not be available for "meet and greet" consultations or message exchanges with new clients
- Expect that all new clients will need to go on extension
- Require the following items for extension filing:
- Copy of prior year tax return
- Completed new client questionnaire through the firm portal
- Signed service agreement
- $200 non-refundable deposit - applicable to final tax preparation fee
Although timely completion is not assured, our tax professionals will make their best efforts to complete any correspondence-only tax engagement for which the totality of tax information, signed service agreement, and correlated organizers is submitted to BB Tax & Accounting before the due dates of February 19th, 2024 for businesses and March 18th for individuals. Any submissions completed after these due dates will go on extension.
Upon mutual acceptance of services, BB Tax & Accounting requires the receipt of a signed service agreement which permits the firm to file an extension on your behalf if deemed necessary. Additionally, BB Tax & Accounting requires a deposit of $200 for tax season onboarding, the full amount of which is applicable to your final preparation fee. No services, including the filing of an extension, will be performed before a service agreement has been signed and the $200 deposit toward your preparation fee has been made.
In the event that an extension of time to file is deemed necessary, BB Tax & Accounting will make best efforts to estimate balances due based on the information available at the time. However, BB Tax & Accounting assumes no liability for inaccurate estimates.
BB Tax & Accounting expects a proactive approach to any and all information requested and reserves the right to refuse services subsequent to initial acceptance in the event that the firm is unable to obtain requested information from you in a timely fashion through reasonable means.
