Terms for New Client Acceptance
Effective May 1, 2025

At BB Tax & Accounting, we match clients with professionals who best meet their needs. New client acceptance depends on service compatibility and staff availability.

If it is determined that you are a good fit for one of our tax professionals, we will proceed with the following steps to onboarding:

Initiate an interview with your prospective tax professional.

Request a detailed onboarding questionnaire via our secure portal.

Request your most recent tax return(s) (upload, drop off, or mail), if applicable.

Annual Service Steps:

We will contact you about four months before any upcoming deadline.

You must complete a firm-prepared questionnaire and sign a service agreement each year.

Accurate responses are required to avoid additional fees.

General Policies:

Our office is open year-round.

Tax returns are published between Feb 1 - Apr 15 and May 1 - Oct 15.

Inquiries are usually answered within 3 business days.

Documents are processed within 10 business days (longer during peak months).

Our current fee structure is as follows:

Personal return without business or rental activities	$450-1,000
Personal return with business, rental, or extensive investment activities	$550-1,400
Business return with 1-2 owners	$1,200-2,500
Business return with greater than two owners	$1,500-12,000
Trust/estate income tax return	$1,200-6,000
Estate inheritance return	$3,500-6,000
Gift return	$250-1,200
Non-profit return	$1,500-12,000

Prices vary based on complexity, and/or clarity/reliability of supporting information provided by client.

Prices adjusted at preparers' discretion.

TurboTax and similar applications are good for simple returns, but you need a professional when things get complex.
TurboTax and similar applications are for people who don't value advice and representation/support with taxing authorities.
TurboTax and similar applications won't add up my income and expenses for me.
TurboTax and similar applications are computer-based and tax professionals are human beings.
There's not much difference between the two.
