Auditions May 28st 10am - 1:30pm (or via video or appointment)
- All cast must do a solo acting audition
- POPPY, SKY, SASHA and DANCE ENSEMBLE are required to do a dance audition.
Rehearsals May 31st - July 21
Wednesdays (5:30PM – 8:30PM) and Sundays (10AM – 1:30PM) in July.
Performances - July 21 - 23 (production week takes place in the 4 days prior)
Cast Size 8 - 10. Ages 16+ Female identifying and Non Binary performers only for this project.
Show Fee $120 (creative kids accepted)
All cast over 18 will be required to provided a Working With Children Check

Roles
(Auditionees who are female/non-binary and of any ethnicity may apply for any and all of the “Normal” roles.)
POPPY: 15 – 18, Lead Role.
A troubled teenage girl who begins to suffer from strange tics and becomes an outcast within her community.
SKY: 15 – 18, Supporting Role.
Poppy’s best friend. She becomes torn between staying friends with Poppy despite her illness and her new peers at grammar school. Also part of the dance ensemble.
SASHA: 15 – 18, Supporting Role.
Poppy’s friend (ish). She experiences a religious awakening after she “catches” the tics from Poppy. Also part of the dance ensemble.
HEATHER / MS HOLT – 30s to 50s, Supporting Dual Role.
Poppy’s single mum, who is struggling financially. / The school principal at Poppy’s school.
SHEILA HARRINGTON / LUCY PORTER – Late 20s to 50s, Supporting Dual Role.
Poppy’s psychiatrist, who is fascinated by her case. / Sasha’s mother, extremely strict and aggressive towards Poppy.
3 x DANCE ENSEMBLE – 15 to 18. Movement Roles.
Will portray students who have “caught” Poppy’s tics, shop girls, reporters, doctors, etc.
