Satellite Communicator Hire
Please use this form to create a request to hire the ZOLEO Global Satellite Communicator from Head Office.

Once your request has been submitted a member of our team will confirm availability and arrange collection with you.

The equipment is subject to availability so it is best to plan your year of activities in advance to ensure the device will be available to use.

Hire fee

$30 for 1 to 3 night activity
$10 per night for each additional night beyond the initial 3 nights

e.g. 2 night activity is $30, 6 night activity is $60, 10 night activity is $100

This fee is charged to help cover the monthly subsciption to the Iridium satellite network and additional charges from usage.

Notes about pick up and drop off times

- Device can only be picked up 2 days prior to activity (activity starts Thursday device cannot be picked up earlier than Tuesday)

- Device must be returned to Head Office within 3 business days after activity (activity ends Monday device must be returned no later than Thursday)

These rules are in place to improve the devices availability when not in active use.

Terms and Conditions
1. The hiree acknowledges and agrees to pay the hire fee for the satellite communicator as specified in the invoice provided.
2. The hiree agrees to take full responsibility for the satellite communicator during the hire period and return the equipment in working order.
3. The hiree understands that they may be held liable for the replacement cost of the satellite communicator in the event of neglect, loss, or destruction of the equipment.
4. The hiree agrees to return the satellite communicator prior to the conclusion of the same week in which the activity occured.
5. The hirer agrees to pay the hire fee within the specificed timeframe provided on the invoice.
6. The hiree acknowledges that failure to pay the invoice within the specified timeframe may result in the forfeiture of their hire booking.
7. If the hiree cancels their booking after payment has been made, reimbursement will be provided. The reimbursement process will require the hirer to complete an F2 - Reimbursement form.
8. Additional fees and charges incurred by Scouts Head Office may result in a higher fee being charged to hire the satellite communicator.
