In 2024 all tickets for students booked in groups through schools (including school holiday program groups) for the weekday matinees listed in the Education & Learning Program are $20 per ticket.
One (1) x free teacher / carer complimentary ticket will be allocated per 10 students and one teacher free per 10 students after that. Additional teachers / carers charged at $20 per person.
Terms and conditions
1. Bookings will only be accepted via this booking form or in writing on the Theatre Royal Booking Form,
which can be emailed to Box Office.
Please note, we are unable to take school bookings over the phone.
2. Box Office will contact you approximately two weeks prior to the show to finalise numbers.
3. We will make all efforts to accommodate additional students on the day, however this is not guaranteed.
How to book
1. Complete this online booking form - being sure to complete all of the required details about you, your
school and your group.
2. Submit the form - You'll then recieve an automated email confirming your booking. You will have the
option to download a copy of this form from the confirmation email.
3. Box Office will email you with confirmation of your booking once this has been processed.
4. When you arrive for the performance, you will be asked to confirm your final numbers.
5. An invoice will be sent to your school for final payment within 7 days following the performance
(usually the day of the show, or 1 day after).

Entrance to the Theatre:
Lift access is available from the main entrance on level one of The Hedberg building to all Theatre Royal and Studio Theatre foyers.
Wheelchair Seating:
The Theatre Royal and Studio Theatre have dedicated seating options for wheelchair users and their guests.
There are accessible seating options for the Theatre Royal available in the Stalls and Dress Circle. The Studio Theatre has seating options in the Stalls.

Bathrooms at the Theatre:
There are accessible bathrooms available on all levels of The Hedberg.
Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs:
The Theatre Royal welcomes guests accompanied by guide, hearing or assistance dogs.
Assisted Hearing Service:
The Theatre Royal and the Studio Theatre are equipped with an Assistive Hearing System. This system can aid patrons with all levels of hearing impairment. The Assistive Hearing System offers amplified sound through dedicated headphones or by using a hearing loop that interacts with hearing aid devices.
Any equipment needed can be booked and collected, free of charge, from the Box Office. There are a limited number of these units and bookings are essential. Please contact our Box Office to discuss your needs
