    • Transfer Credit: Must be approved before taking courses elsewhere.
    • Courses with S/F Grades: Cannot apply S/F to major/minor. Includes biology and ancillary requirements.

  • Calculating Minor GPA

    Letter Grade Points of Credit
    A 4.0
    A- 3.7
    B+ 3.3
    B 3.0
    B- 2.7
    C+ 2.3
    C 2.0
    C- 1.7
    D+ 1.3
    D 1.0
    D- 0.7
    E 0

Points for a course are calculated by the points of credit (numeric value for each letter grade) multiplied by the number of credits for the course. E.g. Receiving an A (4.0 points of credit) for a 4 credit course = 4 x 4 = 16 points for course.

The point-hour ratio (cumulative grade point average) is calculated by dividing the total number of points earned by the total number of hours (excluding transfer credits, AP credits, or credits earned with a grade of CR) for which the student has received final grades, whether passing or failing. Grades of S, F, and P do not affect this ratio.
