    We are thrilled to announce the upcoming publication of the book "Standing Meditation" by David Cao in the Winter of 2023. This meticulously crafted work began its writing journey in 2022, specifically tailored to English-speaking standing meditation practitioners in Austin. After several rounds of revisions and optimizations, we are delighted to share that the third draft of the core chapters has recently been completed. The book will be complemented by official introductions and instructional videos and a website when publishing.


    We are currently seeking Beta students for the "Standing Meditation" program. This opportunity is ideal for working professionals, entrepreneurs, and executives who seek effective stress management techniques, to enhance their energy, improved their well-being, and balance their lives.


    There is no enrollment fee, and we warmly welcome individuals who are committed to practicing standing meditation. To ensure a fulfilling experience, students should have no significant knee or back issues and be capable of successfully completing a 15-minute standing meditation session. Moreover, we request a minimum commitment of at least one hour per week, or practicing more than three times a week, along with providing feedback on the instructional draft.


    By joining the program, students can enjoy the following benefits:

    A. Engage in David's Standing Meditation Telegram group (available in English and Chinese) and WeChat.
    B. Receive personal guidance by meeting with David on Saturday mornings at Lost Ridge Manor for practice guidance.
    C. Access weekly online instructions delivered in English and Chinese.
    D. Participate in standing meditation meetups held in Silicon Valley and Austin.
    E. Exceptional students may even have the opportunity to become models for the book, take part in Tesmoniols, or feature in official instructional videos.

    Author's Biography:

    David Cao, the founder of the Oriental Medicine Study Society (Silicon Valley) and host of the esteemed "Oriental Medicine Forum" in Silicon Valley, has an inspiring background.


    Growing up on a small county hospital campus, David embarked on his journey of standing meditation, he immersed himself in Hunyuan standing meditation with the guidance of TCM practitioner Liu Hao in 2017. In addition, David has studied Qingcheng Tai Chi under Master Liu Suibin of the Qingcheng, and studied Zhaobao Tai Chi under Master Ma Yaoxian.He has also delved into practices such as Daoist alchemy and the cultivation of inner energy.


    In 2017, David established the Oriental Medicine Study Society in Silicon Valley, organizing weekly standing meditation group practice sessions. These sessions continued until the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020. The society hosted numerous wellness and TCM events in 2018 and 2019, collaborating with esteemed institutions such as Stanford University, Five Branches University, and the International University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.


    In 2020, David launched the "Oriental Medicine Forum" video interview series in Silicon Valley, featuring insightful conversations with over a dozen Oriental medicine experts and masters. David and the Oriental Medicine Study Society have also organized various meditation camps and training activities, fostering a vibrant community of practitioners.

In consideration for being allowed to participate, on behalf of yourself, your next of kin, heirs, and representatives, you release David Cao and the venue host (Lost Ridge Ranch LLC, etc.) from all liability and promise not to sue David Cao and any other participants for any and all claims resulting in physical or psychological injury, illness, damages, or economic or emotional loss you may suffer as a result of your participation.

    Confidentiality:

    The student agrees not to use, disclose, or communicate any proprietary information obtained from the book or the author, whether directly or indirectly, for personal benefit. The student will treat all such information as strictly confidential and will not divulge it to any third party. This obligation of confidentiality shall continue even after the termination of this agreement. Upon termination, the student will return to the author all records, notes, documentation, and other items provided or created during the term of this agreement.

    Professional Conduct:

    The student agrees not to make any negative, derogatory, or detrimental statements, whether written or oral, about David Cao, including any employees, officers, or helpers associated with the book. This includes any statements that could harm the reputation, brands, names, or trademarks of the aforementioned individuals or entities. The student's obligations regarding professional conduct will survive the termination of this agreement.

    Ownership of Feedback:

    Any feedback, suggestions, ideas, discoveries, or other information (collectively, the "Feedback") developed in whole or in part by the student as part of the process connected with the book shall be the exclusive property of the Author. The student agrees that David Cao may use, modify, reproduce, disclose, publish, or distribute the feedback for any purpose, without obligation or restriction of any kind, on a worldwide, royalty-free basis.

    The student acknowledges and agrees that no compensation will be provided for the Feedback, and the student waives any rights or claims to such compensation. The student further represents and warrants that the Feedback does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights or any other rights of any third party.

    This Terms and Conditions agreement is governed by the law of Texas, specifically in Williamson County. This means that any legal disputes or matters arising from or related to this agreement will be subject to the laws and regulations of the state of Texas, as well as any applicable federal laws within the jurisdiction of Williamson County. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you acknowledge and consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts in Williamson County, Texas, for resolving any disputes that may arise from your participation or use of the services provided.

    This provision shall survive the termination of this Agreement.
