WHAT IS PET SITTING?
For Bows and Bones, a Pet Sitter can be described as someone who has the knowledge and training necessary to ensure pets are safe and healthy, and provides excellent pet care in the client’s home. We offer 30- and 60-minute visits from 6am – 11pm, 365 days a year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
General responsibilities include dog walks, play time, feeding, scooping yards and litter boxes, and lots of clean up. You will be expected to clock in and out through an app with GPS-tracking and write a detailed report of each pet sitting visit. For the most part you will be working on your own, so time-management, organization, and attention to detail are important.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Some experience working with animals in a professional setting is preferred.
Resident of Cabarrus County is also preferred.

You must have a smart phone, your own car, and a deep love for animals to apply for any position with us. You must also be honest, responsible, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and be comfortable walking and driving in inclement weather. You must also have a High School Diploma or equivalent, be over the age of 18, and be able to pass a background check.

SCHEDULE:
We have 3 main “Schedule Blocks” daily:
Mornings (6am – 2pm)
Midday (10am – 6pm)
Evenings (3pm – 11pm)

Every day / week / month is different, and your hours will vary depending on the season. We require our Sitters to be 100% available during their Schedule Blocks, due to the unpredictability of pet care with last-minute add-ons and cancellations. You will rarely be required to work straight through your Schedule Blocks and will typically have a large break between visits.
Example: If your Schedule Block is 6am - 2pm, it would be typical to have a couple early Breakfast visits, then a break before a few Lunch visits.

**Please note that there are no guaranteed "minimum hours”. You provide us with your availability, and we schedule as many visits within your Schedule Block(s) as possible. Some days are very slow, some days are very busy. The more you're available, the more you'll make!

PAY + BENEFITS:
Pay starts at $10 - $13/hour (depending on experience), plus generous tips.
