Exeter Contemporary Programme - Travel Reimbursements Criteria
Travel is reimbursed only for students living outside of Exeter. Students are entitled to reimbursement for journeys to the CAT Sunday training days, graduate training days, intensives and CAT performances.
Travelling by Car -
• On Sunday and graduate training days; 1 return journey will be reimbursed regardless if parents travel home during day (i.e. the journey of which the CAT Student is in the vehicle)
• Intensives for dancers who travel by car + accommodation; the CAT will cover the cost of 1 SINGLE journey to the intensive and 1 SINGLE journey home at the end of the intensive regardless if parents travel home in between
• Intensives for dancers who travel daily; the CAT will cover the cost of 1 return journey to and from the intensive per day regardless if parents travel home in between (i.e. the journey of which the CAT Student is in the vehicle)
• If lift sharing with other Parents, please only claim for the journey you made with the Students in the vehicle
Car travel is paid as mileage for one return journey from the student’s home address to training venue at 0.30pence per mile.
Travel to enhancement classes cannot be covered.
Travelling by Train -
Students travelling by train aged 16 and over will be reimbursed the train fare at the cost of a journey with a young person’s railcard. Reimbursement for the cost of a young person’s railcard can only be claimed up to the end of April.
Train fares can only be reimbursed if proof of payment (e.g. tickets or receipts) have been received by the finance officer.
